Spring always brings a shift. More light, fresh energy, new ideas… and the urge to finally tackle the spaces that have been on your mind all winter. ☀️🌿

Around here, it also means the season is getting busy with new client projects, spring/summer renovations, staging homes for market, and thoughtful updates that make everyday living feel better.

Whether you’re planning a full redesign, refreshing a room, choosing finishes, or getting your home ready to sell, this is such a good time to start.

There’s something about spring in Muskoka that makes everything feel possible again.

CC Interiors is now booking spring + summer projects. If your home has been asking for attention… consider this your sign.

What’s one thing you’d love to update in your home this season? ⬇️

Not the pink you’re thinking of…

This one’s soft, earthy, and quietly stealing the spotlight this season.
Consider this your sign to rethink blush.

Are you into it?

If you’ve ever stayed at a luxury hotel and thought “why does this room feel so good?" It’s almost always layering + lighting.

Two things in our primary bedroom that completely changed the feel of the space (without a big renovation budget):

✨ Blackout curtains that actually look high-end
✨ Wicker swing-arm bedside sconces for warmth + texture

The curtains were a must because we get intense morning light on this side of the house and as a light sleeper, I needed something that truly blocked it out. These don’t just function well…they hang beautifully and give that tailored, custom look.
And the wicker sconces? Instant warmth. They add texture, soften the room, and make nighttime reading feel cozy instead of harsh.

Both were surprisingly affordable.
Both were easy to install.
Both elevated the entire room.
Luxury feel. Designer texture. Budget-friendly.

I linked them in my Amazon storefront and stories if you want the exact ones 🤍

Your home shapes your nervous system more than you realize.

There’s a term for this: neuroaesthetics, the study of how our surroundings influence mood, stress, and emotional regulation.

Here are a few gentle design shifts that help a space feel calmer, softer, and more supportive:

1. Reduce sensory overload
When a space is visually loud, your body stays in low-level alert.
Think harsh overhead lighting, piles of clutter, competing patterns.
Calm doesn’t mean all white or beige. It means warmth, layered lighting, natural light, baskets that contain clutter, and softness that signals ease.

2. Create regulating spaces
Our nervous systems love the familiar.
A morning coffee corner. A curated health setup with all your favs. A lamp you turn on before evening reading.
Small, repeated rituals in your home create a sense of grounding and calm.

3. Add softness + texture
Linen tea towels. Fabric draped over a favourite chair.
Woven baskets, runners underfoot, antiques mixed with new.
Soft textures help a space feel lived-in, safe, and inviting.

4. Bring nature indoors
Fresh eucalyptus in the shower. Herbs in the kitchen.
A vase of flowers, a fig tree, or larger plants to bring life and clean air into your space.

5. Layer in charm + meaning
Artwork your child made. A favourite mug. A coffee table book you love.
These personal moments are what make a home feel happy — and truly yours.

Design isn’t just about how a space looks.
It’s about how it feels.

WHAT I’M LOVING | BOLD, PLAYFUL & COLLECTED

Right now I’m loving interiors that feel a little bolder, a little more playful — but still grounded.

Soft blues paired with warm browns and rich burgundy tones are everywhere this season, and I’m especially drawn to how stripes are showing up in furniture, rugs, lighting, and art. When done in a muted, intentional palette, they feel graphic yet timeless.

And if bold isn’t usually your thing — this is your reminder that you don’t have to go all in. You can always borrow from the trend: a softer stripe, a single accent piece, or a small hit of colour layered into an otherwise neutral space. Sometimes all it takes is one piece to bring a room back to life.

This look is all about:
• colour used with confidence (or just a hint of it)
• sculptural silhouettes that feel like art
• pattern that adds personality without overpowering
• mixing softness with structure

Consider this your gentle nudge to add a little colour back into your home 🤍

All pieces (and similar finds) are linked over on LTK if you’d like to shop the look or pull inspiration.

January Reset. Creating calm through less. 🤍

This season of winter invites us to slow down, pare back, and reset, not just our routines, but our spaces too.

A true January home reset looks like:
✔️Donation drop-offs (if you haven’t used it in a year, it’s time)
✔️Clearing surfaces so your eye can rest
✔️Storing seasonal décor intentionally
✔️Giving your plants a shower to clean off dust build-up, great for indoor air filtration
✔️Editing décor so each piece feels purposeful

Less visual noise.
More calm energy.
A home that supports you through winter, not overwhelms you.

If your space feels heavy right now, it might just be asking for a reset.

A little office glow-up to kick off the new year ✨

This space has been reimagined to better reflect how I work now, more functional, more inspiring, and perfectly suited for creative days behind the scenes at CC Interiors. Studies show that intentional, organized workspaces can boost focus, creativity, and productivity, and this refresh was all about creating a space that truly works.

Proof that even small upgrades can make a big impact when they’re intentional 🤍
