Realtors — what if your closing gift was the one thing your clients never put away?

We make small-batch closing gifts right here in Innisfil: personalized cutting boards, serving pieces, and nameplate art like this one — with your card tucked in, ready to hand over on closing day.

Designers and contractors: we also offer trade pricing on custom work for your clients — dining tables, consoles, vanities, and more.

Local, handmade, and built to your timeline. Let's talk: [email protected]

Where do most of our tables find their next home? At a dinner party.

Someone sits down, runs a hand across the top, and asks, "Where did you get this?"

So we're making it official — the Black Barrel Thank-You:
→ Send a friend our way, and when they commission a custom piece of $1,500 or more, you get a handmade cutting board on us — and your friend gets $100 off their commission.
→ For commissions between $500 and $1,500, you get a handmade hardwood coaster set — and your friend gets $50 off.

No codes, no fine print. Just have them mention your name when they reach out.

It's how this little Innisfil shop has always grown — one kitchen-table conversation at a time. Thank you for starting them.

Ever wonder why the prep takes longer than the build? 🪵

"Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe." — Abraham Lincoln

Every table that leaves our shop starts the same way: sharp tools, careful measurements, and joinery planned twice before a single cut. The prep is invisible in the finished piece — but you'd feel it if we skipped it.

Ever stop to think about how the little things make the biggest difference? 🪵

Every strip in this piece was cut, placed, and finished by hand — dozens of tiny decisions that most people will never consciously notice. But they feel them. That is the thing about real craftsmanship: it shows up even when nobody is looking for it.

That is what we chase at Black Barrel every single day. No shortcuts, no "good enough." Just work we are proud to put our name on, built to be handed down.
