Carrie Ruddy Art Hi there! I am a Kawartha Lakes impressionistic artist, inspired by the divine beauty that surrounds us. Thank you for sharing in my artistic journey!

I hope my work brings you as much joy and happiness as it has brought me in its creation.

Looking forward to this workshop and having some fun with soft pastels!

Looking forward to this workshop and having some fun with soft pastels!

What if your next landscape didn't need every detail? 🌾🎨

One of the beautiful things about pastels is their ability to capture colour, movement and atmosphere with loose, expressive marks.

In Pastels Beyond Basics, contemporary impressionistic artist Carrie Ruddy will help you explore exactly that!

Through step-by-step tutorials, you'll work on creating expressive landscapes while experimenting with different pastel surfaces and developing techniques you can bring into your own artwork.

This workshop is intended for novice artists who already have some basic experience with soft pastels.

📅 Saturday, October 17
⏰ 10:30 AM–2:00 PM
📍 Ampere Makerspace, Lindsay

Class size is limited to just 8 participants.

Day 1 of Karen Margulis 21 in 21 in 21 Challenge. 21 small paintings in 21 days, 21 minutes for each painting. Love these quick response exercises, they help my overthinking brain just go with it. A late day bike ride after the storms gave me oodles of inspiration to paint. The early evening was getting close to golden in this 5x7”.
