Lighthearted Rug Hooking

Lighthearted Rug Hooking Welcome to Lighthearted Rug Hooking, a page by Maggie Milligan of Lakeside, Nova Scotia. Thank you for visiting, I hope you enjoy!

I’d like to dedicate this space to showcasing my hooked rug making process from inspiration to process to finished piece. These one-of-a-kind rugs are a creative way to merge my backgrounds in textiles, interior design and fine art. I’ve been inspired to design geometric compositions that echo tradition with a modern twist and have an interest in playful landscapes/seascapes that experiment with v

arious natural materials. Although I’m just a beginner, I hope my recently discovered passion for this traditional Maritime art and craft will show though the photographs and words I have to share with the community. It would be wonderful to receive positive or constructive feedback on my work and make connections with other creatives.
