🍞 Welcome to Prairie Loaf Co. 🍞

I’m so excited to officially introduce my bread menu! Every loaf is handcrafted in small batches right from my home kitchen using slow fermentation and quality ingredients.

Good bread takes time, and each loaf takes approximately 24 hours to make from start to finish. To help me plan my baking schedule and keep everything fresh, orders will be taken Tuesday–Friday each week, with a limited number of loaves available each day.

I’ll also be offering specialty and seasonal flavors, so stay tuned for new creations 👀

Prairie Loaf Co. operates under Alberta cottage food laws and is not subject to government inspection.

Introducing the Cheddar Dill Loaf from Prairie Loaf Co. — made with fresh dill, fresh minced garlic, and chunks of real cheddar baked right in. It turned out SO good… and my taste testers were all over it this morning 🙌

Fresh Sourdough is Back Next Week at Prairie Loaf Co. 🍞✨

We’re now taking pre-orders for next week’s bake — and trust me, your future self will thank you for planning ahead!

Our loaves are naturally leavened and cold fermented for a minimum of 24 hours, which means:
✔️ Easier to digest
✔️ Lower glycemic impact
✔️ Better nutrient absorption
✔️ That rich, tangy flavor you just can’t get from regular bread

Here’s what’s on the menu:
• Regular Round Loaf — $10
• Pizza Loaf or Jalapeño & Cheese — $15

Pickup is available between 10–5, and if that doesn’t work, we’re happy to make alternate arrangements!

Prairie Loaf has some availability this week, and if you’ve been thinking about trying sourdough, this is your sign.

There’s just something special about real sourdough — slow fermented for a full 24 hours using a natural starter and simple ingredients. That long fermentation process gives it that signature tangy flavour, but it also comes with some great benefits… it can be easier to digest, gentler on blood sugar, and helps your body absorb nutrients better than regular bread.

Tried something a little different this week… and I think it might be my new favourite 🤤🍕

I made a “pizza” sourdough loaf with Italian seasoning, mozzarella, and spicy pepperoni — and wow… the flavour is unreal. Crispy on the outside, soft and cheesy on the inside… it actually tastes like pizza in bread form.

I’m going to do a small limited batch next week if anyone wants to try it ❤️
I’ll also have my regular round loaves, sandwich loaves, and jalapeño cheddar available for pre-order too.

Let me know if there is another flavor combination you think I should try!
