There comes a time where things feel like they aren’t progressing. You think to yourself geez it’s been kinda slow should I even continue. This year I’ve made the decision to still focus on my business but also spend more time focusing on other things that matter to me aswell.
Yesterday was my first market of the year. Not going to lie when I signed up I was excited as I always am but setting up I had zero expectations of what the evening might bring me. It hadn’t even been 10 minutes into setting up my booth and people started flooding in. I knew at this point that tonight could very well be a great night. And it WAS! To me a great night means I’ve made enough to cover the cost of my table and any extra then I’m winning.
About 3/4 of the way into the night a father and daughter came by to my booth. Expressed to me how wonderful my work was, as I was smiling ear to ear. But then they had made there way over to my most expensive piece on the table- Anchor. He began asking me how long I had the octopus and how detailed it was. Without a beat he said, “I’ll take it”! I was shocked, responding, “are you sure, he’s really expensive”. The smiles on all our faces, and the fact I knew Anchor was going to his right home completely made my night, day and even week!
A million thank you’s to that family and the many others who came by to say hello and who made a purchase to support my small business. It’s times and interactions like these that keep me going.
Thank you to to having me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️
