Residential Design Proposal - Hudson’s Bay Building, Montreal
Completion: Semester 6, Winter 2026
Project Type: Mixed-Use Luxury Development
inHABITare is envisioned as a mixed‑use residential community that elevates the standard of luxury living in the heart of Downtown Montreal.
Rooted in the belief that urban life should support both comfort and connection, the project blends timeless architectural character with a refined modern design approach to create a living environment that feels warm, intimate, and enduring.
At its core, inHABITare is designed to redefine family‑oriented urban living. The development encourages families and young professionals to build their futures within the city by offering spaces that adapt to evolving lifestyles. Residential floors prioritize privacy, serenity, and elevated comfort, while the mixed‑use podium introduces curated public and semi‑public areas that foster interaction, belonging, and community life.
Shared amenities and public interfaces are intentionally programmed to bring people together. These include wellness‑focused facilities, communal lounges, landscaped terraces, and ground‑floor retail that activates the streetscape and invites the surrounding neighbourhood into a welcoming, human‑scaled environment.
Overall, inHABITare is a luxury urban sanctuary, a place where exclusivity and community coexist, where families can thrive, and where residents experience a sense of belonging within a prestigious and thoughtfully curated setting. It is a development that celebrates connection, comfort, and contemporary elegance, allowing residents to truly feel at home in the center of Montreal.
