DAY + NIGHT ☀️🌙

Your skin doesn’t necessarily need the same thing at 8 a.m. that it needs at 10 p.m.

So when I created these two creams, I didn’t make one formula and put it into two different jars.
Each was formulated with its own purpose.

☀️ DAY | Hydrate + Soothe

A lighter, silky cream made to give skin moisture and softness without leaving it feeling heavy.

Chamomile hydrosol, calendula and aloe bring a gentle, soothing botanical element, while glycerin and panthenol help draw in and hold moisture.
Jojoba and squalane soften and replenish, with just enough shea butter to give the skin a little extra comfort.

Inside: Chamomile Hydrosol • Glycerin • Jojoba • Calendula Oil • Squalane • Shea Butter • Aloe Extract • Panthenol

🌙 NIGHT | Nourish + Replenish

At night, I wanted something a little richer.

Squalane, rosehip seed, grapeseed, avocado and sunflower oils create a deeply nourishing base, while glycerin, aloe and pro-vitamin B5 support hydration. Calendula, oat protein and vitamin E complete the formula, leaving skin feeling soft, comfortable and cared for by morning.

Inside: Squalane • Rosehip Seed Oil • Pro-Vitamin B5 • Grapeseed Oil • Avocado Oil • Sunflower Oil • Glycerin • Aloe Extract • Calendula Oil • Oat Protein • Vitamin E

Two creams. Two different formulations. One simple intention:

Give your skin what it needs, when it needs it. 🤍

Both are handmade in small batches at Soul Threaded Apothecary.

Migraine Balm 🌿

This one began with a request from my most loyal customer.

She was looking for a little extra support during migraines, the kind that settle around the temples and sinus area, so I went to my herbs, oils and little apothecary jars I had on hand and began making.

I created this botanical balm to be gently massaged into the temples, forehead, back of the neck or other areas of tension when a migraine begins.

Inside the balm:
🌿 Magnesium
🌿 Peppermint
🌿 Lavender
🌿 Eucalyptus
🌿 Clary sage
🌿 Frankincense…
along with nourishing botanical oils and butters to create a smooth, slow-melting balm.

These tiny tins are samples I made for a few people to try. But as I was pouring them, I realized this may be something someone else has been looking for, too.

So I’m making it available and it will be added to the website.

Migraine Balm can be made in a larger 1 oz or 2 oz jar for anyone who would like one.
As always, I make in small batches, by hand, with intention.

Sometimes Soul Threaded isn’t about deciding what to make next…sometimes someone tells me what they need and I listen and create. 🌿

This is what I’m learning and maybe it gives you permission too…

I used to think every decision had to be “forever”. ♾️
That if I chose a path, I had to stay on it.
That if I learned something, I had to build a life-plan from it.
Or that if I changed my mind, somehow that meant I had failed.

I don’t believe that anymore. 🙂

Over the years, I’ve changed in ways I never expected.
I’ve stopped measuring my worth by how much I accomplish in a day. 🏃‍♀️

I’ve learned that my value was never something I had to earn. 😓

I’ve released relationships that were no longer in sync with who I was becoming. ⛓️‍💥

I’ve questioned beliefs I inherited and asked God to show me what was true beyond fear. 😨

I’ve discovered that the way I connect with the world doesn’t look like anyone else’s and isn’t meant to.

And maybe one of the greatest lesson of all…

I’ve given myself permission to follow my curiosity and joy.

Some seasons I’m pressing flowers or baking bread from scratch.
Sometimes I’m making dog treats 🐾 in the morning and drying garden fresh herbs and flowers in the afternoon or having a glass of wine with a friend. 🍷
Maybe next season I’ll be learning something that isn’t even imaginable for me right now. 🤷‍♀️

Not because I’m searching for who I am…

But because each experience helps me remember.

We aren’t meant to stay the same.

We aren’t meant to become one finished version of ourselves and remain there forever.

Life asks us to evolve and to try, to release and then begin again as someone new.

Sometimes the point isn’t to find the thing you’ll do for the rest of your life.

Sometimes the point is simply to become a little more yourself through the doing.
What we choose to do is sometimes just about having the experience.

Flowers have a way of holding memories. 💐

A bouquet from someone you love or a ceremonial bouquet
The first blooms from your grandmother’s garden or your own. 🌼
Wildflowers gathered on a summer walk.
The roses that opened outside your kitchen window.

One of my favourite ways to preserve those moments is by pressing flowers. 🌹

It’s a simple, beautiful way to keep a little piece of a season long after the flowers have faded. Some will become artwork. Some will find their way into handmade paper (coming soon ☺️). The rest are placed in a wooden box, waiting to inspire something new.

Lately, I’ve been spending quiet afternoons emptying one flower press and filling another with treasures from my own garden. Something I’ve wanted to do since I was a little girl…why did it take me so long to start?

Sometimes, all it needs is a little patience.

🌿 What flowers would you preserve if you could keep them forever?

🌹 From my garden… to your skin.

One of my favourite things is finding ways to let the garden become part of everyday rituals.

This botanical glow mask was made with finely ground wild rose petals and my own wild rose petal glycerin, both made from roses grown here in my garden. 🪴

I blended them with colloidal oatmeal, pink kaolin clay, rice powder, soothing aloe extract, and just a touch of hibiscus powder to create a mask that leaves skin feeling soft, calm, and naturally radiant. ✨

Mix a small spoonful with a few drops of the rose glycerin (or water, yogurt or honey), smooth it onto your skin, and take ten quiet minutes just for yourself. 😌

To me, skincare isn’t only about what we put on our skin.
It’s about creating small rituals that remind us to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with ourselves. 😮‍💨

Every batch is made by hand in my workshop with ingredients I trust and plants I’ve had the privilege of growing.

🌿 If you’d like one of your own, send me a DM. I’d be honoured to make one for you. 😃

There was a time when I would have baked bread simply to cross another thing off my list.

Now, I bake because I want to. 🍞

This cinnamon sugar sourdough has become one of those little joys that fills the house with the smell of cinnamon, makes me slow down, and reminds me that creating something doesn’t always have to serve a purpose beyond making my heart happy. 💛

Lately, I’ve been noticing something.

For what felt like so long, life asked me to heal.

Breast cancer and menopause, both at a younger age.
Learning boundaries.
Learning who I was beneath 47 years of everyone else’s expectations.

Healing became its own season.

That work is ongoing.

I’ve also learned that not everything is asking to be healed.

But somewhere along the way, I realized I’m no longer asking myself,

“What do I still need to heal?” 🩹

I’m asking,

“What brings me joy?” 🤩

That question has changed everything.

I’m planting herbs instead of vegetables because herbs make me happier than vegetables rotting in the garden that I was never going to eat anyway. 😆🥗

I’m pressing flowers because I’ve wanted to since I was a little kid. 🌼

I’m making paper by hand, baking bread, emulsifying botanical skincare, and wandering through my garden looking for the next bloom. 🌸

Not because I have to.

Because I finally feel free to. ⛓️‍💥

Maybe this season of life isn’t about becoming someone new. 🐛

Maybe it’s about finally giving ourselves permission to become who we’ve always been.💝

And today…

…it just happens to smell like cinnamon. ☺️

Last week I made a lavender vanilla lotion for a lovely customer. 🧴

She was incredibly gracious… but if I’m being honest, I wasn’t happy with it. It just didn’t feel like it was up to my standard.

So I showed up with freshly whipped body butter instead. (Because sometimes we makers are our own toughest critics. 😅)

She opened it, loved it… then disappeared for a minute and came back carrying a bottle of olive oil from her family’s own olive trees in Greece 🇬🇷 ...a token of her appreciation.😱

I honestly didn’t know what to say. 😶

You know someone really appreciates you when they share their liquid gold with you. 💛

Sometimes the sweetest part of creating isn’t what you make.

It’s the people you meet because you made it.
And those are the real gifts. 💝

Every batch begins with a conversation. 🗣️

This lotion was intentionally formulated for someone looking for extra comfort for dry, sensitive skin. 🧴

I don’t believe skincare is one size fits all.
Every formula is created around the person who will be using it, carefully choosing ingredients that support their skin, while also holding space for intuition to guide the creative process. ❇️

For me, creating skincare is both a science and an art.
It’s understanding ingredients, listening to what someone’s skin is asking for, and creating each small batch with care and intention.😍

One person.
One formula.
Made by hand.
