A closer look at what is usually unseen.

This detail comes from one of the sculptures in Amoebas Realm, revealing the junction between hand-carved wood, individually nailed rye-straw scales, and the tension created by the golden rods crossing the surface. At this scale, the work becomes almost cellular—somewhere between organism, armor, and artifact.

Each straw scale carries natural silica, giving the surface its subtle glow and protective quality. Up close, the sculpture shifts from monument to microcosm, echoing the very essence of the project: where the smallest elements build the largest forms.

Amoebas Realm is a speculative universe built through contemporary sculpture, material research, and collectible interior design.

It imagines a future where microorganisms (once invisible) have evolved into monumental beings that reshape ecosystems, architecture, and entire civilizations. These giants embody the paradox of amoebas themselves: at once dangerous and essential, destructive yet fundamental to life.

Inspired by real biological research and mythological storytelling, the collection reflects our own era of instability (ecological imbalance, pandemics, and fragile social systems) through a fictional world where humanity must coexist with forces it once ignored.

Each sculpture is crafted from:

In Amoebas Realm, every form begins with a simple question:
What happens when the smallest lifeforms become the architects of an entire future?

The project is rooted in the paradox at the heart of amoebas themselves. Known to some as dangerous parasites, they are also essential regulators of our ecosystems—recycling minerals, controlling bacteria, and quietly sustaining life beneath the surface. This duality, both threatening and life-giving, inspires the core of my work.

Each sculpture mirrors this tension through its materials:
• A carved wooden core representing the living foundation of these imagined beings.
• Hundreds of rye-straw scales, individually nailed, echoing the silica-based shells built by certain amoebas for protection.
• Golden rods piercing the forms, symbolizing a fictional discovery capable of halting their growth while referencing ancient spiritual tools used to seal harmful spirits.

This interplay of biology and mythology, science and ritual, forms the symbolic language of the Realm.

This body of contemporary sculpture and collectible interior design art imagines a future transformed by giant microorganisms: beings that embody both destruction and renewal, fragility and resilience.

Rooted in scientific research and mythological storytelling, the Realm explores the paradox of amoebas—at once feared parasites and vital ecological regulators. This tension forms the foundation of the narrative: a world where civilizations collapse and rebuild under the influence of these unseen giants.

Each sculpture is crafted from a hand-carved wooden core, enveloped in individually nailed rye-straw scales. The straw’s natural silica echoes the survival mechanisms of certain amoebas, while the gold rods piercing the forms reference both a fictional scientific breakthrough and ancient spiritual sealing rituals.

This series imagines a world where the unseen becomes monumental: microorganisms evolving into giant beings that reshape ecosystems, balance life, and challenge civilizations. The concept is rooted in a paradox—amoebas known as dangerous parasites where some are essential ecological regulators.

Each sculpture begins with a carved wooden core, then receives hundreds of individually nailed rye-straw scales. The material isn’t symbolic by accident: straw is rich in silica, mirroring the protective shells some amoebas build for survival. Gold rods pierce the forms, referencing both a fictional discovery in the narrative and ritual staffs used to seal spirits—where biology meets mythology.

The collection explores themes of ecological imbalance, collapse, renewal, and the resilience of human stories in the face of invisible forces. Through these imagined giants, I reflect on our own world: pandemics, environmental fragility, and the thin line between creation and destruction.
