🍂 Pour moi, l’automne est encore plus éclatant que le printemps 🌸 et plus animé que l’été ☀️.

🎑 À chaque fête de la Mi-Automne, mes grands-parents me portaient sur leurs épaules pour visiter la rue Hàng Mã. Assis sur les épaules de papi, j’écoutais le rythme joyeux des tambours, j’observais la foule animée en bas et les lanternes rouges et vertes étincelantes. Mon cœur semblait alors s’illuminer comme cette lanterne en forme d'étoile ⭐🏮✨.

🍂 To me, autumn feels even more colorful than spring and more lively than summer.

🎑 Every Mid-Autumn Festival, my grandparents would carry me on their shoulders to visit Hàng Mã Street. Sitting on my grandfather’s shoulders, hearing the festive drums echoing, watching the bustling crowd below and the glowing red and green lanterns, I felt my heart light up just like the bright star-shaped lantern🏮⭐

🎑 Mỗi dịp lễ Trung thu, con thường được ông bà công kênh trên vai đi thăm phố Hàng Mã. Ngồi trên vai ông, nghe tiếng trống hội rộn ràng, ngắm nhìn dòng người tấp nập phía dưới cùng những chiếc lồng đèn xanh đỏ, con thấy trái tim mình bỗng như cũng được thắp sáng như chiếc đèn ông sao kia.🏮⭐

à garder précieusement dans son cœur ❤️.

Puis, les yeux fermés 😌,
je murmure dans le silence 🌌 :

Elle répond à chacune par son nom 🌱,
plantant ces mots en elle-même

💌 En plus de parler des valeurs que nos grands-parents nous ont transmises, nous avons aussi envie de partager les valeurs de notre génération. 💌

🌱 Nous apprenons à mieux nous connaître, à accueillir nos émotions avec douceur, à mettre des mots sur ce que nous ressentons. 🌱

🤗 C’est l’esprit de notre deuxième collection : “Ôm”, qui veut dire câlin. 🤗
Les câlins nous aident à nous sentir mieux, à apaiser nos peines, à réparer les blessures laissées par la vie.

🎒 Dans nos valises, en plus de l’excitation de découvrir une nouvelle vie, nous avons aussi emporté un grand trésor : l’amour et les souvenirs de nos grands-parents restés au pays.
🏡 Au Vietnam, plusieurs générations vivent souvent ensemble sous un même toit. Alors, ce sont nos grands-parents qui nous ont aidés à grandir, avec papa et maman.
🍲 Nos grands-mères Vietnamiennes n’ont pas toujours l’habitude de dire “Je t’aime”, mais elles le montrent autrement : en cuisinant nos plats préférés, en tricotant un pull tout doux, en fabriquant des jouets ou des objets rien que pour nous, avec leurs mains pleines d’amour.
🎁 Chaque petit cadeau "édition limitée", c’est comme un message : “Je t’aime très fort, à ma façon.” 🎁
Elles nous ont aussi transmis leur savoir-faire et leurs valeurs, pour que, même en grandissant et en partant loin, on garde tout ça bien au chaud dans notre cœur.💖
Dans chaque produit que nous fabriquons nous-mêmes, il y a un petit morceau de notre enfance, une histoire qu’on a envie de raconter à nos amis dans ce nouveau pays. 🧸
Sur nos créations, vous verrez par exemple : la treille de fruits gấc, le chapeau conique de notre mamie, les lunettes de papy, son café glacé, le journal du matin, la vieille radio, ou encore les personnages des dessins animés Ghibli que nous regardions ensemble…
🌸 Tous ces objets font partie de notre collection “Thương”, qui veut dire “tendresse” en vietnamien.

🎒 In our suitcases, along with the excitement of discovering a new life, we also carried a big treasure: the love and memories of our grandparents who stayed back home.
🏡 In Vietnam, many generations often live together under one roof. So it was our grandparents, together with mom and dad, who helped us grow up.
Vietnamese grandmothers don’t always say “I love you” with words, but they show it in other ways: by cooking our favorite meals, knitting a soft sweater, making toys or little things just for us, with their hands full of love. 🍲
🎁 Every little “limited edition” gift is like a message: “I love you very much, in my own way.”
They also passed down their skills and values to us, so that even as we grow up and move far away, we can keep them safe and warm in our hearts. 💖
In every product we make with our own hands, there’s a piece of our childhood, a story we want to share with our new friends in this new country. 🧸
On our creations, you’ll find things like: the gấc fruit trellis, grandma’s conical hat, grandpa’s glasses, his iced coffee, the morning newspaper, the old radio, or even the Ghibli cartoon characters we used to watch together…
All of these objects are part of our “Thương” collection, which means “tenderness” in Vietnamese. 🌸

🎒 Hành trang của tụi con, bên cạnh sự háo hức với cuộc sống mới, những nỗ lực để hoà nhập nhanh nhất với quê hương thứ hai còn còn có nỗi nhớ ông bà.
🏡Ở Việt Nam, nhiều thế hệ thường sống chung dưới một mái nhà. Vì thế, ông bà là người cùng ba mẹ chăm sóc tụi con từ nhỏ.
Những người bà Châu Á thường ít có thói quen nói : "bà yêu con". Thay vào đó, bà sẽ nấu các món ngon, đan cho con chiếc áo ấm, tự tay làm đồ chơi hay vật dụng cá nhân cho con.
🎁 Mỗi món quà "phiên bản giới hạn" đó đều là lời nhắn rằng, tình yêu của ông bà với con là duy nhất.
Bà còn truyền dạy lại cho con những giá trị và sự khéo léo đó như một cách để sau này lớn lên, dù có đi xa, con vẫn luôn có thể mang theo tình yêu của ông bà bên mình.
Thông qua mỗi sản phẩm tự tay chúng con làm, chúng con muốn kể câu chuyện tuổi thơ cho những người bạn ở đất nước mới. Vì thế, hình ảnh trên mỗi sản phẩm sẽ là một phần ký ức của tuổi thơ chúng con bên ông bà : dàn gấc và chiếc nón của bà, chiếc kính lão, ly cà phê đá, tờ báo buổi sáng và chiếc radio của ông, những nhân vật trong những bộ phim Ghibli yêu thích mà chúng con thường cùng xem với ông bà... Đó là các sản phẩm trong bộ sưu tập "Thương".🌸

🐾 Un petit chat errant nous a réunis ! 🐾
🐱 Kio, un chaton recueilli par Ro, a inspiré la maman de Ro à écrire le spectacle de marionnettes « Kio, from the sidewalk to the couch ». Pendant que la maman de Caro s’inquiétait de trouver des personnes partageant le même loisir pour former une équipe, un après-midi ensoleillé nous nous sommes rencontrés sur un groupe de parents de Montréal. Un véritable spectacle peut maintenant commencer et c’est aussi comme ça qu’est née la troupe SoMiRoKi. 🐱
🎭 Nous avons fabriqué nous-mêmes chaque accessoire, sous la direction de la maman de Ro. Pendant les préparatifs, nous avons découvert que nous aimions tous les quatre les travaux manuels. 🎭
🌳 Lors de nos représentations au parc Girouard et à la garderie, nous avons reçu les encouragements chaleureux de nos petits spectateurs. 🌳
✨ Même si chacun de nous n’a joué qu’un tout petit rôle dans le spectacle, nous étions si fiers d’apporter des sourires aux autres enfants et de sentir peu à peu que cette ville devenait aussi la nôtre. ✨

🐾 A little cat brought us together! 🐾
🐱 Kio, a stray cat that Ro took in, became the inspiration for Ro’s mom to write the puppet play “Kio, from the sidewalk to the couch.” While Caro’s mom was worried about finding people with the same hobby to form a team, one sunny afternoon we met through a parents’ group in Montreal. A real show can now begin, and that’s also how the SoMiRoKi troupe was born. 🐱
🎭 We made every single prop with our own hands, under the direction of Ro’s mom. While preparing for the play, all four of us discovered that we truly love crafting. 🎭
🌳 At our performances in Girouard Park and at the daycare, we were warmly cheered on by our little audience. 🌳
✨ Even though each of us only played a tiny part in the play, we felt so proud to bring laughter to other children — and little by little, we began to feel that this city was becoming our home too. ✨

🐾 Một chú mèo hoang đã gắn kết chúng con ! 🐾
🐱 Kio, một chú mèo hoang được Ro nhặt về nuôi, đã là nguồn cảm hứng để mẹ Ro chắp bút viết nên vở rối tay « Kio, từ vỉa hè đến chiếc ghế sofa ». Trong khi mẹ của Ro lo lắng về việc tìm người có cùng sở thích để lập nhóm, thì một buổi chiều nắng đẹp, các bà mẹ đã gặp nhau trong một nhóm phụ huynh ở Montreal, và đây cũng là lý do ra đời của gánh diễn SoMiRoKi. 🐱
🎭 Chúng con đã tự tay làm từng đạo cụ dưới sự đạo diễn của mẹ Ro. Và quá trình chuẩn bị cho vở kịch đã khiến cả 4 đứa nhận ra rằng chúng con đều yêu thích thủ công. 🎭
🌳 Buổi biểu diễn ở công viên Girouard và ở nhà trẻ, chúng con đã nhận được sự ủng hộ nhiệt tình từ các khán giả nhí. 🌳
✨ Dù mỗi thành viên chỉ đóng góp một phần nhỏ bé vào vở kịch, chúng con cũng cảm thấy vô cùng tự hào vì đã có thể đem lại tiếng cười cho các em nhỏ khác và dần cảm thấy mình thuộc về thành phố này. ✨

👋 Coucou !
Nous, c’est SoMiRoKi, quatre enfants venus du Vietnam 🇻🇳
Ça fait presque un an qu’on a quitté notre pays pour suivre nos parents à Montréal 🇨🇦

🌏 Même si on venait de coins différents du Vietnam, c’est ici qu’on s’est rencontrés.
Maintenant, on est comme une petite bande soudée grâce à notre amour pour l’art et parce qu’on essaie fort de trouver notre place dans cette nouvelle vie 🏘️

☀️ Cet été, on a vécu notre tout premier été loin de notre pays natal.
C’était un été inoubliable, plein de musique, couleurs, rires et surtout… plein d’amitié.

🏡 Notre petit coin, SoMiRoKi Art, c’est l’endroit où on raconte nos histoires avec des pinceaux, des bouts de tissu, du carton et beaucoup, beaucoup d’imagination 💡🖌️✂️🎨
