Can architecture help heal a community's deepest worry? At 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲́, we believe it must.
We are deeply honored to share a first look at the architectural master planning and programming for "𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁"—a groundbreaking initiative set to build Lebanon’s very first lifelong sanctuary for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
In close partnership with the Parents Association for Autism Support (𝗔𝗔𝗔), this 𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗺² development is designed with a profound purpose. It directly addresses the "After Us" anxiety felt by aging parents by providing a permanent, dignified, and 24/7 residential home.
𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲:
Our team approached this master plan through the lens of neuro-inclusive design, ensuring every space serves a therapeutic and comforting purpose:
• 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆-𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀: Every room is meticulously planned around specialized acoustics, natural lighting, and safety to prevent sensory overload.
• 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘃𝘀. 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀: Clear zoning separates high-energy spaces from low-stimulus environments, allowing residents to transition peacefully throughout their day.
• 𝗔 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗛𝘂𝗯: Beyond providing a lifelong home for 20 permanent adult residents, the facility's day programs are engineered to support over 400 unique beneficiaries annually through rotational educational and clinical tracks.
Architecture reaches its highest calling when it provides permanence, dignity, and sanctuary. We are proud to lead the spatial strategy for this landmark non-profit institution, shaping a safe haven that will protect, nurture, and support these incredible individuals for generations to come.
