As you are probably aware, I always critique my own work and add touches here and there. I have added Eagles and now I’m happy. 😃
This 24 x 30 x 1.5“ oil on canvas of the Rocky Mountains is available for sale. With Christmas coming, maybe you know someone who would love to have this in their home. I need to let it finish drying for about a week, will paint the edges black, and then spray with protective varnish. I am very happy with this latest creation. When my friend posted a picture she had taken on her vacation in Alberta, I was immediately in love with it and knew it had to be painted. I believe she took this in Jasper and Maligne Lake area.
I hope I have done it justice and someone feels the same way about the painting as I did about the original.

My latest commissioned piece, Serenity, has been picked up by my very grateful friend Rosalind. The smile on her face says it all. I know it will have a wonderful home and I was so happy to hand it over to her.
As a matter of fact, another person has already ordered a full sized canvas print of this piece. I am so thankful for the support I get for all my creative endeavors.

What an honour it was to be commissioned to create this painting for a friend.
2’x3’x1.5” oil on gallery wrapped canvas.
I haven’t decided on a name yet, but Serenity does come to mind.
I think it incorporates most things West Coast. This would definitely be my peaceful place.

My little tribute to the beautiful bride and handsome groom. Wishing my daughter, Ash and Darren a lifetime of happiness and dreams come true. This 16 x 20 x 1/2“ was painted with oil on a black canvas. I wanted to have the bride and groom be the focus with abstract Croatian architecture from the original photo. It was fun to paint this one.

I am sharing two commissions I did a couple years ago.
The white hat firefighter depicts my brother Wayne who was a volunteer firefighter for over 45 years in Retired as Deputy Chief a couple of years ago. I have always been so proud of him.

My latest 16 x 20 acrylic on canvas is another mountains in the distance, with the misty Mountain sunrise.
I have not done acrylics for a very long time, so felt like I was learning all over again. Blending acrylic is nothing like blending with oil.

Ancestry.ca has just sent me info on one of my traits. According to my DNA, I have an above average chance of being an artist.
Here’s a fun fact. I never picked up a paintbrush until I was 50 years old. Since then, I have done watercolors, acrylics, and oil paintings. I believe oil is my favourite.
