Karen Bramhill Art

Karen Bramhill Art Multi-disciplinary painter creating timeless beauty for everyday reflections. WELCOME, I’m glad you've landed here – stay awhile and let’s connect.

A bit about me – I create original artwork and prints in watercolour, ink, pastel and acrylics. So really a bit of everything at the moment! In this season of life, I’m enjoying leaning into and trusting the creative process and following the path it leads me. I’m mostly inspired by nature and form and have a penchant for anything vintage and nostalgic. In a past life I must have lived by small se

aside village in France, dancing amongst the wild flowers and roaming the vineyards :)

As I continue to explore life through the lens of my paintbrush, I hope to build a community of soulful collectors who find inspiration and joy in the artwork I create. Creating art makes me come alive, I hope it does the same for you! Visit www.karenbramhill.com or connect with me on IG

I got the rejection email. Then I got the call.

I entered Crimson Azulejo into Canada’s largest art competition and got the no. Weeks later someone dropped out, I was next on the list.

Crimson Azulejo is one of 100 paintings selected for the 2026 juried show, on display all summer at 100 Kellogg Lane in London, Ontario

There’s a people’s choice award, if my work speaks to you, please vote for me! It would mean everything.

🔗 Link in bio and in comments below. Voting closes September 7th 2026.

If you’ve ever gotten a no, been waitlisted, passed over, or gotten in by the skin of your teeth, rejection is never the end of the story! Keep going. ❤️

Crimson Azulejos is in the running for the People’s Choice Award at ART COMP 2026 and your vote means everything to me. 🙏

This piece is part of a collection that started with a trip to Portugal. I was completely captivated by the azulejos, those stunning hand-painted tiles you see everywhere. The history, the beauty, the way they tell a story just stopped me in my tracks.

This painting layers a hand-carved ‘azulejo’ block print against an oil portraiture, combining structure and softness.

If this piece speaks to you, I’d love your support. 🔗 Link in bio to vote.

Soft pastels feel like magic to me. ✨

The colour saturation. The glow. The velvety softness. Every time I work with them, it feels like stepping into some dreamy, ethereal cloud world that exists just beyond reality.

They demand a slower kind of creating, delicate layers, soft movement, and a whole lot of trust in the process. And while they’re one of the trickiest mediums to transport and preserve (they need to live behind glass to stay archival), the final result always feels worth it.

Are you drawn to soft pastels, or do you gravitate toward bolder, more textured mediums and canvases?

There’s something special about knowing exactly where a piece was meant to be.

There is always one belle of the ball.

This year at Artist Project, there were two.

This is one of them.

The piece people could not stop talking about. I watched people return to her again and again, drawn in, pointing, leaning in closer, starting conversations with complete strangers about what they were seeing.

There is something about the moment she holds. The birds moving across the window, breaking the barrier between what is inside and what feels just beyond reach. It’s not just an image, it’s a feeling of connection, of movement, of something opening.

And the texture. You only really understand her when you stand in front of her. The surface shifts with the light, asking you to slow down and take it in.

This is one of those pieces that lives with you, not just on a wall, but in a space.

She’s still waiting for the space she belongs to.

If she stayed with you, you’d know it. DM me for details.

Clearing space for new blossoms. As I begin my new collection, my studio needs room to breathe. 🌿

I’ve been sitting with these pieces, touching old layers, moving canvases from one corner to another and feeling the quiet nudge that it’s time to let them go.

So for the next 7 days, I’m opening a rare invitation:
20% off all original paintings.

Not a tradition, not a seasonal sale, just a natural moment in my creative cycle.

If there’s a piece you’ve felt drawn to, a color story you’ve kept returning to, a texture that’s stayed with you, this is your moment to bring it home.

These works won’t be recreated.
Once they leave the studio, they won’t return.
Your home is where they’re meant to live, not resting in storage.
