I still do pet portraits! This was my favorite portrait from 2025. 🥹

Otherwise, I haven't done much post-worthy art lately- mostly working on commissions, stationery design elements, and FINALLY finding momentum on a family Chinese Zodiac piece that took me forever to find a groove, but I'm stoked now that it's coming together 🙂‍↕️

I've put a lot of "art for myself" on the back burner. What I need to do is sit down and start doodling more 😮‍💨

"Dwelling Place."

I'm working on a sort of liturgical calendar, mostly for personal home decor, not sure if I'll muster the motivation and focus to put this out there as a "product" to sell. But the goal is to create 12 images that have one focus, or theme, that I/our family can pray/meditate on for the entire month.

I'll get them all printed, pay an exorbitant amount for picture frames and put them up in our blank dining room wall. The process of creating these pieces has been a work of consideration and slowing down in and of itself, a process where I focus on being intentional and fully present.

I'm about halfway through them, and very much enjoying the time working on each one. 🙏🏻

Pulled this together last night just to try something different. I'm thinking about pivoting my Etsy shop to sell more stickers, patterns, SVG files for creators and etc. lemme know what you think!

Finding the balance between projects and personal art is hard. I've got so many big illustration things on the go, and sometimes when you've got big projects it feels wrong spending time on illustrating for "fun" for yourself.

It's work guilt—you feel like you should commit every waking moment to whatever project isn't complete yet. So that's where I'm at these days 🫠
