With this not-so-little rascal growing like a w**d and literally changing every single day, he needs more attention and energy from me than I’ve been able to give him.

I have decided to “stay-at-home” for a while so I can focusing on raising and supporting my sprouting family!

I am trying to see the brighter side of this bittersweet “announcement” that I will no longer be doing home staging.

I keep telling myself; I don’t think I’ll ever regret doing this but I might regret NOT doing this.

I am excited and feeling grateful to that I have the opportunity to spend so much time with Mav!

5 things that are possibly making your home look dated 👇🏻

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 : These get used a lot and overtime they start to look worn out . Potential buyers will notice as they turn on and off the lights ,a quick switching to something new and fresher will be an easy fix.

𝗢𝗹𝗱–𝗳𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘀:
Never underestimate the power of a new handle 🙌🏻.You should switch up your front door handle if its' finish is tarnished and worn out.The same thing goes for cabinet pulls ,they can completely change the look of your kitchen or bathrooms.

𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 :You'll want to remove any heavy fabrics with really loud prints ,tassels and fringed trim. A good way to go, is keeping it simple and add a rod with lightweight drapery in light neutral colours to really open up the space .

𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗯𝘆𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗿𝗮 : We don't want potential buyers thinking there is one more thing for them to do ,so it's best to remove any outdated wallpaper and boarders,this will make a huge difference when potential buyers need to visualize their furniture going into that specific space.

𝗢𝗹𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 : In today's world , the options are endless ,take a look at your nearest home improvement stores for a more modern look. Replacing those old gold builder's light fixtures will make a huge difference in the overall look and feel of your home .

If you are in the process of staging your home or you are about to begin **𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 **

Colour affects our emotions and moods on a subconscious level and this is why we always tell you to paint your walls a neutral colour like pale oak by Benjamin Moore .

It's definitely ok to add pops of colour in your art work or throw pillows ,however walking into a red room can be overwhelming for potential buyers.

Neutral colours allow the features of your home to really stand out while also giving buyers a chance to visualize the ways they could decorate with their own furniture and decor . In other words ,we need to keep things appealing to the eye and compliment the home without distracting buyers or drawing to much attention to certain items that they struggle to see past them.

Make your bathroom more attractive ,all while still being functional and organized!

We know it can be hard to remove certain items that we use everyday however no one wants to look at your plunger or toilet brush and neither should you ! The key is to use the closed storage space below your sink if possible ,if it is not an option ,try storing them in a nearby linen closet .

When it comes to staging bathrooms ,we want potential buyers to feel zen!

Neatly folded towels can be stacked on the edge of a soaker tub or placed on open shelving.Rolled Towles can also be used in this way or put into baskets ( swipe to see) ------->

For makeup ,hair products and other thinga-ma-bobbers,use a set of bowls ,dishes or trays ,these can be open or have lids,depending what's inside.

Same goes for makeup brushes ,stand them up in a fun jar ,instead of having them roll around on the counter top. Think about displaying your bath salts and other bath products that have ugly packaging in glass jars.

when it comes to staging ,always think less is more ,we want to show off as much space as possible so try not to crowd your counter tops.

We love staging with blues 💙

While we often say to keep things neutral ,it's always fun to play with pops of colour and Blue is the perfect colour to start with !

Blues come in so many different shades that have the ability to make you feel calm ,relaxed and secure . Blue is often seen as a sign of stability and reliability.

Throw pillows are a great way to incorporate this colour in a living room or bedroom. As long as it doesn't detract from enhancing the rooms size.

Artwork with a mix of Blues is always a nice touch to pull any room together .

"Add decorative soap pump "...I write these words out a lot but I also find myself explaining what actually qualifies as decorative LOL

Today I'm sharing 3 tips for buying great soap pumps :
{SAVE THIS FOR LATER }

1. Fun, attractive writting as the main focal point .
2. NO labels or information near the front of the soap pump .
3. Choose a fun colour that coordinates with artwork or shower curtain.

**Bonus tip : when in doubt ,glass soap pumps tend to be more attractive than plastic (and they can be easily refilled and used again and again !)

Staging Tips for Laundry Areas 👇🏻

There are a few rooms in the house that may get neglected and even forgotten when it comes to the staging process ,the laundry area is one of them but with just a small amount of effort ,you can transform a dull looking space into something beautiful and inviting .

Keep it simple and minimalistic ,the space should be brightly lit,clean and functional.

Put all detergent and other laundry supplies and items in cupboards. Attractive canisters and baskets work well to store certain items .

Remove all clothing from the floor and on top of the washer and dryer .

Put up new shelving if needed and try to put large items in storage ,seeing iron boards just reminds us of the chores we have to do !

Repaint to give it a fresh bright look ,soft grey or whites are always best .Add lighting so the space looks more warm and inviting .

If you have a laundry sink make sure it is replaced if needed or give it a good clean ! If your laundry room is in a basement consider painting the concrete floor in an unfinished area.

Depending on the space and how big it is ,adding some framed photos , accessories or plants make the area more attractive.
