Congrats to Edelweiss for her beautiful mosaic garden pavers that she crafted using all kinds of tiles! See the movement through finding inspiration and sketching the design, cutting and gluing tiles to mesh, cementing it to the paver, and finally the smoothing and polishing. Just five more to go!

Valentine's Day has never been this fun!
All guests who came created trinket boxes or two to three coasters, helped themselves to sparking soda and cupcakes, and left with their chocolates treats.

Big thanks to all of you who came (from near and far) and spent your Valentine's getting closer with your creative selves! Be proud that you had a hands- on taste of this ancient art form. Looking forward to the next!

Hats off to a wonderful group of new mosaic artists! In this three-day workshop, these ladies made their beautiful mosaics trays using glass tiles.

First they warmed up to the medium by making some coasters or a small hanging. Then they nipped the tiles, shaped and glued their designs, and finally grouted and polished their stunning artwork.

Many thanks to the Old Ottawa South Community Association for inviting me to lead this, especially the weekend staff and Katherine. And of course, thank you, ladies, for coming along for the ride! I had a wonderful time and learnt so much from you as well.
