I went on a big walk this afternoon reflecting on my last week. It was tough. My dad is sick and he’s getting worse. It’s an extremely difficult situation that I’ll get into some other time maybe. My reflection however turned into focus. When I started allowing myself to move forward from those down thoughts in my mind and let go, and live today, for today.
My thoughts then veered to my art career and where to go from here. Not only that, but my art practice in general. The steps I take to complete paintings, things I need to fine tune.
I’m going to be taking some risks and at the same time, tighten up my practical skills.
F O C U S must become the romancing word of my day-to-day practise.
As I mentioned in a story last week I was going to title this little number “looking for joy through all the sh*t” but i’ve decided against this as it’s not appropriate for this piece. It was my “reflection” of that moment in time I’ve now realized gave me a lesson.
