I just wanted to say a few words about the last 9 months. I did my very first market last April, and I absolutely loved it! Some of you may know that only 5 days later, I broke my leg and opposite foot in a fall. I decided that I was going to keep going if I could. Through this rollercoaster of chaos, I have met the most wonderful women (and a few men π) in our vendor community. They been the most welcoming, helpful, and generous group of new besties that I have had the privilege to meet in a long, long time. I have also met so many amazing people, from many communities, who were attending these events along the way. I feel so lucky to have these experiences throuout my injury. The fact that people were giving my creations for gifts, especially for Christmas, warmed my heart and I definitely teared up on Christmas morning thinking about this. Thank you to all of you for helping me through this very painful and draining injury. Thank you for supporting my very new small business, along with all of my fantastic market buddies businesses as well. You mean the world to us! Currently, I am on a 2-5 month wait list from reconstruction of my ankle/leg, but I am still planning to continue to schedule Spring/Summer events. I am also extremely thankful to my daughter, who on top of college and working part-time, has been helping by my side this entire time, at home and at markets. She is graduating in June, and then starting her new career, but she haas offered to help me, and even run some markets again due to my surgery π I also want to give a huge shoutout to my husband and son for continuously helping to set ups and take downs, and even sitting in with me on a few that my daughter couldnβt attend. Even my sister-in-law (from Calgary) and my father-in-law have also lent a hand as well!
I feel so very blessed by all of you, and even though Iβm going to have to start all over again with this surgery, I am looking forward to all of the 2025 events coming up! I hope to see you there!!
