This beautiful leather sofa had completely broken‑down foam and padding, and with an upcoming operation, the customer needed proper support and a level seat. The old foam just wouldn’t cut it—so we rebuilt it with high‑density foam and fresh padding to give her comfort, stability, and peace of mind. A thoughtful repair can make all the difference, and she couldn’t have been happier with the result.

There’s something special about a traditional writing desk like this, and years of wear shouldn’t mean the end of its story.

This beautiful piece came to us looking tired, dull and well-used. With careful refinishing, we were able to revive the rich wood tones, refresh the surface and bring back the character that makes this desk worth keeping.

The goal isn’t to make old furniture look brand new. It’s to make it look beautifully cared for again. ❤️

Have a desk, table, dresser or family piece that has seen better days? Before you replace it, let’s see what we can restore.

This sofa had plenty of life left—it just needed the right touch. We replaced the seat foam, added fresh backrest padding, and repaired the damaged decorative seams. Now it’s comfortable, supported, and looking sharp again. A solid piece like this deserves to be restored, not replaced.

Island Furniture Repair – Vancouver Island: The Details Are Worth Saving. ✨

A beautiful piece like this deserves more than a quick fix.

Years of wear had left this elegant table with scratches, marks and a tired finish, taking attention away from the gorgeous woodwork and detailing that made it special in the first place.

After careful restoration and refinishing, that character shines again. The rich tones are back, the beautiful grain and inlay stand out, and the entire piece looks refreshed, without losing what made it unique.

Furniture doesn’t have to be new to look incredible. Sometimes, it just needs the right hands. 🪵❤️

Repair it. Restore it. Enjoy it for years to come.

The customer was ready to replace it, but a thoughtful restoration brought it back to life for a fraction of the cost. A solid piece deserves a second chapter.

This antique walnut cedar chest came to us tired, worn, and carrying decades of use. What it needed wasn’t just a refinish — it needed real restoration.

From repairing damaged veneer to rebuilding a drawer that no longer opened, every step was hands‑on, careful, and time‑consuming. Pieces like this don’t just get “touched up”… they get brought back, layer by layer, with patience and respect for the craftsmanship that came before us.

After all the repairs, sanding, and refinishing, this chest looks closer to how it must have appeared many years ago — rich walnut grain, smooth function, and a whole new life ahead of it.

Island Furniture Repair - Vancouver Island: Broken Doesn’t Mean Garbage!

Well… that doesn’t look very sittable. 😬🪑

This chair came to us with a completely snapped back and significant structural damage. For many people, that would mean one thing: time to toss it and buy a new one.

Not so fast!

With skilled furniture repair, the broken sections were rebuilt and reinforced, restoring the strength, stability, and function of the chair. Now it’s back together, sturdy, and ready to be used again.

This is exactly why we always say: before you replace it, see if we can repair it.

Have a broken chair or another piece of furniture you think might be beyond saving? You may be surprised by what we can do.

This antique oak table came in with a stain that had grown tired and worn, losing the depth and warmth it once had. The customer wanted it brought back to the same colour as the rest of their dining room set — classic, rich, and true to the original look.

After stripping away the old finish and carefully sanding it back, we refreshed the piece with a matching stain that brings the oak grain forward again.

Now it blends seamlessly with their dining room set, looking renewed without losing its history.
