When I was asked to make an *UP* piggy bank for a themed nursery I knew immediately it had to replicate the "Paradise Falls" glass growler from the movie ❤️

If you haven't seen this movie I'm questioning your life choices....like actually ;) Get on it!!! It's SO GOOD!!!!!

I so appreciate the custom orders and love bringing these sentimental things to life for my clients.

Don't stop.
As cliche as it sounds. The past 2 years I have wanted to do anything but keep going.....but here's the thing, you could very well be that person who helps another keep going.

Knowing how much I've needed others to pull me out of my own head and believe in myself again, I wouldn't be posting here otherwise. I truly thought I was never going to find the strength to create again.

Seriously. It's like a magic trick 🤩

Bringing the colour of Anne's auburn hair to life with a species called Western Yew was ridiculously satisfying 😆 The Yew is all the way from Van Isle!. Kinda cool that its all the way from out West to out East ?!?! 🤷‍♀️ Just me?!?! LOL.

The burnt orange pops SO GOOD.

Process pics of my Green Gables piece for the Makers Challenge Central scroll saw challenge.

The theme?
"Talk to me Wordy" 😎

As much as Beauty and the Beast called to me, (the library with that incredible ladder!!) I HAD to do an Anne piece.

This series was LIFE to me growing up. Anne gave me permission to dream and tap into my imagination as a little girl.

Growing up on the West Coast, PEI felt like it was a world away. Half the reason I even agreed to this insane move was knowing how close I would be to PEI and yes, "Avonlea" 🥹

Going to see the "real" Green Gables was incredible. PEI was actually a million times more dreamy than I expected.

✨️ Laser Update!✨️

Is my laser working? Not working?!?! Working again? Fixed?!?!
It actually works now 😍

So what has been going on?!?!
My machine was no longer cooling the laser tube down. It has to circulate water through the laser tube to keep the machine a low enough temperature to prevent it from catching fire, as it's literally....fire 🙃

In a nutshell

🥜 I had a water leak caused by a perfectly severed bolt which was super random - or so I thought (likely the move, based on all the other issues)
🥜 This leak lasted approx 4 months before I realized as the water was pooling inside the bottom of the machine unbeknownst to me
🥜 That 4 ish months of running the laser without proper cooling/water causing multiple other things to burn out
🥜 Flow Sensor
🥜 Water Pump

So, we fixed all these things that interconnected to one another. MEANWHILE......

🥜 AI/Chat GPT discovered burnt wires running to the capacitor, only because I was sending photos to help me figure this disaster out
🥜I fixed the capacitor (Go me, didn't know what that was, let alone how to rewire one, OR REWIRE ANYTHING 😂)
🥜The laaer proceeds to overheat yet again
🥜Insert appropriate rage
🥜Back to chat I go, high ho.
🥜Circling back to the water side of things....it looks to be the refrigerant is leaking from the water chiller. Why? Because of a crack (Hi, moving🤦‍♀️)

COOL....😂

🥜Decided after all the research I was gonna invest in an external chiller instead of replacing my original one.
🥜Obviously it did not come with the right parts but at this point I'm a certified technician 👌

Nothing I love more than a creative request like this!!! There is a special spot in Antigua where people leave wooden signs/names from where they are from. I was shown a few pics and its really something special. Once this proud maple leaf is hung I will share some pics.

I created this five layer leaf with two layers of handpainted, lasercut wood in the middle, sandwiched between acrylic for extra durability. I'm so excited to see this with all the other cool signs!!! I've never had an art piece end up in Antigua so thats pretty rad 😍

Maybe you need to hear this today ❤️.

The world needs your gifts. Your talents. Your quirks. Its so easy to have tunnel vision....I have been living in a dark tunnel for quite some time, and because of people who believed in me, kept showing up to encourage me, and for me personally, my faith in God, I can see the light peeking out ✨️

Dont let your light stop shining. Someone else needs what you bring to the world.

You might wake up one day and be asked to paint a wall mural at a gym when you are just a "sign maker".

My light and gifts are needed.
