Before you buy more décor, shop your linen closet first!

Throws, blankets, pillow covers, and neutral linens can completely refresh a space without spending a dollar. Sometimes the best styling pieces are the ones already folded away. 🤍

Styling your home can feel overwhelming when you think you need to buy all new décor. But the secret? Start with what you already have!

These cobalt blue glass vases became a statement simply by grouping them together and adding fresh greenery for height and texture. No expensive makeover — just intentional styling using pieces already in the home.

If your space feels unfinished, try this: shop your own house first. Rearrange, layer, and repurpose before spending money on more stuff. Sometimes the missing piece is just a fresh perspective. 💙

A few years ago, I honestly thought every room problem needed a shopping trip.

New pillows.
New furniture.
New decor.
New everything.

But the more homes I worked in, the more I realized something important:

Most homes already have good pieces. They’re just not working together properly yet.

That shift completely changed how I design.

Now one of my favorite things to do is walk into a home and say: “Wait… let’s use THIS somewhere else.”

A lamp from the bedroom.
A tray from the kitchen.
Curtains moved to another room.
Art leaned instead of hung.

And suddenly the house feels intentional again — without spending thousands.

That’s the magic of shopping your own home first ✨

Stop centering everything in your room! Yes… even the sofa. 😅

Perfect symmetry looks great in photos — but in real life, it can make a room feel a little stiff… like it’s trying too hard. If your space feels flat, this is usually why.

Try moving just one thing today and see what happens.
Trust me… it works!

Is your nightstand currently buried under charging cables and old receipts? 😴 Before you go shopping for a whole new 'bedside aesthetic,' let's clear the decks. The secret to a high-end look is intentionality, not new stuff.

Grab a book you’ve already read (hardcovers look great!), a simple glass jar for some backyard blooms, and that lamp from the office. Shop your home for items that bring you peace, not more clutter to manage.

Post a photo of your refreshed nightstand in your stories and tag me! I want to see those 'found' treasures.

Is your living room feeling a little tight? 🪞 Before you look at knocking down walls, shop your house for a large mirror!

Tucking a floor-length mirror into a corner or beside a fireplace—like this black-framed beauty—instantly doubles your light and creates the illusion of a much larger space. It’s the oldest designer trick in the book, and it costs exactly zero dollars if you already own one!

Go find a mirror in a guest room or hallway and try it in your main living area today. (even if you have to repaint the frame) Tag me in your 'before and after' stories!

Who says decor has to be 'just for looks'? ✨ Most of the best styling pieces are already in your kitchen drawers. That wooden cutting board you use for prep and those bamboo spoons are beautiful textures!

Pair them with a woven basket and a touch of greenery (even a small herb pot!) for a look that is as practical as it is pretty. Use what you have and let your tools be the art."

Staring at a big, blank wall and feeling like you need to spend a fortune on "real" art to fill it.

That big blank wall doesn't need a big budget. 🖼️ These framed prints look like a curated collection, but the secret is in the symmetry. Before you head to the store, look through old calendars, coffee table books, or even your own digital photos.

Grouping them in matching frames you already have (or found at the thrift store!) creates an instant designer look for next to nothing."

So check your 'hidden' art stash today—what’s one thing you could frame and hang right now? Tell me in the comments!

THIS is why your room feels crowded. Not the furniture. Not the paint.

The rug is too small.

When the rug is too small, everything feels disconnected.

Try a larger rug — or pull the furniture closer together.

One small change can make the whole room feel better.

Save this for later!
