I have a soft spot for bags that are practical without being boring.

Lately, the Horizon Bag has been my go-to whenever im heading out the door. It’s lightweight, easy to wear, and just the right size for everyday life.

The exterior pocket has become my favourite feature. My card clutch lives there, along with a few other essentials I reach for often.

Lightweight. Practical. Ready for everyday adventures.

One thing I noticed at my recent Saskatoon show was how many people stopped to take a closer look at the Echo Backpacks.

I think part of the appeal is that it doesn’t look like a traditional backpack. It’s compact without being cramped, lightweight, and designed to sit comfortably while still carrying everything you need for the day.

The wide mouth opening makes it easy to see what’s inside, while the front zipper pocket, interior zipper pocket and the tucked away drop pocket keep things organized and secure. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Prairie Lily Stitches design without lots of colour and personality.

The Echo Backpacks has quietly become a star among my designs because it strikes that balance I love most: practical enough for daily use but fun enough to make you smile when you reach for it.

After more than a year, custom orders are officially back!

One of my favourite parts of running Prairie Lily Stitches has always been helping bring customers’ ideas to life. Sometimes that means creating a favourite bag in the perfect colour, sometimes making a special gift for a group, and sometimes it’s designing something completely new from the ground up.

Every custom project is a little different, which is part of what makes them so much fun. And I like a challenge.

Since custom work takes a bit more planning and studio time, I’ll be opening a limited number of custom order spaces at a time.

If you’ve been dreaming about a specific print, colour combination, or just can’t find what you want, now is a great time to reach out and start the conversation.

I’m very happy to say I will be at the Regina Farmers’ Market every Saturday this month. (Barring inclement weather and the like.) The first two weekends will continue to be outside on the plaza downtown. Then on October 17th we are back indoors. We will again be at Banner Hall between the Brandt and Cooperators Centres all through the winter season. I hope to see you at the market!

Autumn Whimsy made its debut this weekend, and now the remaining pieces are ready for their next adventure.

This collection is my take on autumn: rich colours, beautiful textures, a playful print, and practical bags designed to be used every day.

Each piece was made in very limited quantities. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
