Monday motivation ~
We are all doing Spring cleaning now that the nice weather is upon us. Some households see old furniture as junk but, those with a creative eye might be able to turn someone’s junk into a treasure with a bit of paint and new hardware. I was just visiting a client that turned an old dresser into a work of art for her son’s room and felt motivated to share this idea.

Throwback Thursday ~

Ten years ago I worked with an amazing couple to update their Living room and Dining room on Fairy Lake. I was able to use some of their existing furniture items and add some new items to the mix. We hung lined linen draperies on decorative rods and freshened up the paint. Next it was time to accessorize with toss cushions, lighting, and new art and mirrors. I still smile when I think of these wonderful clients that became friends.

Over the years they had me back to help with the update of their foyer, hallways, five bedrooms, family room and a complete redesign of a bathroom. Their home was done with a classic style that still looks good today!
