Thanksgiving . I am so thankful for my friends, family and the love I am surrounded by each and every day. I am also beyond blessed to be able to work at something I’m extremely passionate about each day!

Here are some plates of Jiggs dinner (one with gravy and one without that I created. I personally love mine smothered in gravy) and a cold plate. A cold plate or turkey soup are two meals that usually follow when a turkey is cooked. Good eats for a few days.

I cooked Thanksgiving supper for my family today and I cooked lots of mini plates to share.

So thankful for my friends, family and for being able to spend my days doing what I’m truly passionate about 🖤🖤

I had to make some Jiggs dinner with gravy and some without.

I LOVE mine smothered in gravy. How about you? I can’t forget the mustard pickles, they are a MUST!

The first two pictures are from the book UNBECOMING by the amazingly talented author Unbecoming Poet. What a gorgeous and vibrant book cover that entices you want to dive deeper into the pages. I met the author on her visit to Newfoundland where we spoke about me designing her some jewelry inspired by her book. She asked about me about possibly making a brooch to match her book cover and if I could make a pair of fire fly earrings. I really wanted the brooch to match the book cover as close as possible. With many tiny pieces I started laying clay “tiles”. I went a step further and grouted the piece such that it matched the book cover more accurately. When it came to the fire flies I searched a ton of pictures such that I could examine and try to replicate a fire fly as best as I could. I really wanted the fire flies to light up…. The last two pictures/video show the result of a love filled custom order.

Thank-you Unbecoming Poet for trusting me to design these pieces for you!
