While I was waiting for my wood order to arrive, I couldn't sit still... so I started digging through my scrap pile. 😂

A few leftover pieces later, I ended up with a mini lotus and a mini sea turtle.

The turtle design was originally created as a custom order, and I have to admit, it quickly became one of my favourites. 🐢

✨ One 10" turtle is currently cut and ready to be customized.

🌸 The mini lotus is also available.

I've been a little quiet lately, but that's because I've been busy creating your custom orders! 😊

One thing I've learned is that the same design can look completely different depending on the stain and colour choices.

Some love natural wood tones and lighter, airy pieces. Others want bold colours, high contrast, or something completely unique to match their space.

The photos below are a few examples of how different stain and colour combinations can completely transform the final result. Even when the design starts the same, the finished piece often ends up with its own personality.

I have to admit... I still can't decide which version of the rectangle mandala I like best. The warm burnt orange version has so much character, while the lighter natural version feels calm and relaxing.

That's one of my favourite parts of creating custom pieces — seeing each customer's vision come to life.

Once I finish up my current spa commission (knock on wood, this week! 🤞😂), I'm hoping to finally start on a new design.

Right now I'm thinking a Tree of Life... but let's be honest, that could change tomorrow. 😂

Well… between full-time work, football/baseball season starting back up, karate, and everything else that comes with “mom life” 😂🙌… I have gratefully accepted the challenge of creating my LARGEST design to date 🔥🤞

A local spa reached out to me, and I honestly couldn’t be more excited to create this piece for them ✨

Between working on this big beauty and staining/assembling all the orders you have all placed this week, I’m feeling incredibly grateful in this current chapter of life 🙏❤️

Still very much in the design/testing stage, but here’s a little sneak peek before the real laser chaos begins 👀😂

I always start with a natural wood stain but I’m thinking maybe it’s time to add a bit more colour and personality into some pieces. 👀
What do you guys tend to gravitate toward in your homes?

• Warm neutrals & earthy tones? • Black/white modern? • Sage & boho vibes? • Moody dark woods? • Eclectic and colourful? • Minimal & natural?

I’d honestly love to hear what colour palettes people actually decorate with — because apparently I’d happily stain everything Walnut & black forever if left unsupervised. 😂

I’ve received so much love for this Lotus Mandala piece, and it’s got me wondering… Is it the lotus flower itself, the mandala, or the combination of them together? 🤍

The lotus has a personal meaning for me — it was my mom’s favourite flower. And now… all this love and positive feedback has me thinking this might be her way of showing a little love and support from beyond as I begin this new, exciting, and very personal journey.

She had a beautiful energy — almost a force — and I often see little signs of her every day… something I’m incredibly grateful for and intentionally try to pause and appreciate in those moments 🙏❤️💪

I looked into the meaning of the Lotus and found so many beautiful interpretations — purity, rebirth, growth, strength…

What does it mean to you, or what does it make you think of? 💭

Waking up to the birds chirping definitely had me thinking of my mom this morning — and this piece in particular.
These little moments, memories, and intentional thoughts mean so much. I’m taking a moment to pause, appreciate them, and send a little love to all the moms out there and including above…❤️ 🙏

Maybe with Mother’s Day around the corner — And for me personally, this time brings out some deeper feelings... 🙏❤️💛

I mentioned I was leveling up my laser bed and making a few jigs this weekend…

Well… the irony is NOT lost on me that I fell an inch short on my cut… and my ruler got cut off too 😂

Also, just a heads up…

Making a large right angle ruler is NOT a fun project 😅

Turns out it needs to be… accurate..like extremely accurate!! 😂 🤓

Just finished this 5-layer Monstera leaf (25” x 15”) 🌿✨
Tried something different with a lighter stain at first… annnd then went right back to my darker tones 😂

Now I need opinions 👇

Light and airy? Or bold and moody?
