Some projects stay with you for reasons far beyond the design. 🤍
I first met this client back in 2008, while working for my previous employer, when I originally measured this very bathroom. Life moved on, years passed, and somehow we found our way back to each other—this time after I had opened Honeybee Home Design.
Eighteen years later, I had the privilege of finally bringing this bathroom to life.
My client decided that this chapter of her life was the time to invest in herself—to create a space that felt beautiful, luxurious and completely her own. And I absolutely loved that.
We kept it warm and transformed the room with a dramatic Cambria quartz shower, timeless finishes and thoughtful details that make everyday routines feel just a little more special.
There is something incredibly rewarding about designing a home for the life you’re living right now—because beautiful spaces aren’t something we should keep waiting for. 🤍
And sometimes, the best projects are the ones that find their way back to you years later.

Today, the emails can wait. ❤️🍁
I’m spending Canada Day with my youngest—making memories, sharing laughs, and soaking up these years while he’s still little enough to want Mom by his side.
As a first responder family, holidays don’t always look the same. My husband is serving the community, and our older kids are off making memories of their own. So today, it’s just the two of us spending quality time 💛

When your home is everything—your workplace, your classroom, and the center of family life—it becomes even more important to create spaces that help you slow down.
This bathroom was designed as a quiet escape from the beautiful chaos of everyday living. Between work deadlines, homeschooling, family schedules, and the constant demands of caring for others, these clients deserved a place to pause and recharge.
Every selection was made with calm and serenity in mind, creating a space that feels soothing, timeless, and restorative. A place to start the day with intention and end it with a deep breath.
Because home should not only support your busy life—it should help restore you, too. 🐝

Sometimes the best design inspiration is right outside the window. 🌿

Set on a stunning treed lot, this bathroom was designed to celebrate its natural surroundings. With two oversized windows framing peaceful views of the trees, we chose to lean into the landscape rather than compete with it.

Instead of a shower, this space features a generous soaker tub—creating the perfect spot to unwind while feeling connected to nature. An accent wall adorned with delicate dandelions adds a whimsical organic touch, while the rich chocolate brown vanity grounds the space with warmth and depth.

Layered with earthy tones and natural textures, this bathroom feels like a quiet retreat tucked away in the forest. 🌳 🤍
