Choosing one finish for every fixture, faucet, and hardware piece in your home is essentially stamping it with the year it was built.
We're seeing it play out right now with the modern farmhouse era: white walls, matte black everything, and homes that all look identical and feel flat.
The people who designed that way are regretting it, and honestly, that's not a judgement - it's a reminder.
Mixing finishes isn't a design risk, it's what gives a home depth, character, and longevity.
