My beautiful mother, tolerant and unconditionally loving, filled with gratitude for all that life had given her, fiercely independent, strong willed and generous to everyone, amazing cook, creative seamstress, anti classist, for the underdog, proud believer in science and philosophically atheistic, pragmatic and funny, critic of superstitions and ostentations, left us today at 2:12pm.
We are crying but only because we will miss her so and we can’t imagine our lives without her guidance her love and her kisses. We are incredibly grateful she went peacefully as was her most profound wish, at home, surrounded by her children who could lie next to her and care for her and embrace her and whisper that she was the best mother and most exquisite human.

La mia madre bellissima, tollerante e incondizionatamente amorevole, piena di gratitudine per tutto ciò che la vita le aveva dato, ferocemente indipendente, volitiva e generosa con tutti, cuoca straordinaria, sarta creativa, anticlassista, per il perdente, orgogliosa credente nella scienza e filosoficamente atea, pragmatica e divertente, critica delle superstizioni e delle ostentazioni, ci ha lasciato oggi alle 14:12.

Stiamo piangendo, ma solo perché ci mancherà così tanto e non possiamo immaginare le nostre vite senza la sua guida, il suo amore e i suoi baci. Siamo incredibilmente grati che sia andata pacificamente come era il suo desiderio più profondo, a casa, circondati dai suoi figli che potevano sdraiarsi accanto a lei e prendersi cura di lei e abbracciarla e sussurrare che era la migliore madre e l’essere umana più squisita.
