Day 2 at High Point Market was filled with an art visit, lots more furniture and of course lighting. Oh and I had a chance of being part of upholstering a chair.

Thank you to Huntington House Furniture for a fun and educational afternoon while building one of your great chairs. Part of market is learning what goes into the incredible products we source.

Happy International Tea Day ☕️

I’m very particular about my tea 😂

My favourite is DAVIDsTEA Organic David’s Breakfast Blend, always loose leaf and always with a slice of lemon.

Having a cup of tea every evening is basically a ritual since I was a teenager — dinner cleaned up, curled up with a book or a show, tea in hand. Perfect way to end the day.

And honestly… I do love a little sweet treat with it too 🤍

Now I need to know:

What’s your favourite tea brand? How do you take your tea? Loose leaf or tea bags? Morning tea or evening tea person? Do you need a little treat with it?

Good lighting is everything. These lights are my new obsession.

The powder room: where drama meets whimsy and fun. This one checks all the boxes.

From serious literature to serious love stories! 📚💖

My first degree was in English Lit, which was all about serious and “important literary” books. To tell you the truth, it was too much. I got bored of constantly looking for deep meaning in the writing and, sadly, stopped enjoying reading—something I’ve loved since I was a little girl.

Now, I still pick up the occasional serious book, but mostly I read just for pleasure. I love the book equivalent of a great Rom-Com movie! So, when my friend told me about the first Ever After Romance Books Festival in Toronto, I had to go! 🥂✨

We dove headfirst into the fluffiest, most fun weekend: author talks, an afternoon tea (pinkies up!), and snagging signed copies of all the best rom-com reads.

I’ve officially reached peak ‘TBR’ (To Be Read) pile status and I’m not mad about it. My reading list is now 99% lighthearted reads and I am ready for the coziness to begin! 🎄🎅 I am especially here for a good Christmas romance.

On my ‘Nice’ list this Christmas Season:

Christmas by Candlelight by Karen Swan: Loved it! It had more substance than I thought and loved spending time in an old English Manor.
The Christmas Wager by Holly Cassidy: Basically a big-town girl visits small town, falls for the rugged guy—well you get it 😊

The Secret Christmas Library: Can’t wait to get to this one because I just love reading anything set in England.

I’m not sure if I’ll get to more, but this is a good start. What lighthearted reads are on your list this season? Share below! 👇
