Back to Rome for a few final days before heading home to Canada.

An incredibly inspiring trip filled with art, architecture, history, amazing food and lots of ideas to bring home. ✨ Arrivederci, bella Italia…alla prossima!

After returning to Rome, the journey continued north to Bracciano, a town with roots that go back to ancient times.

Castello Orsini-Odescalchi was incredible to explore. Built in the 15th century, the castle had beautifully preserved painted walls, vaulted ceilings, intricate floors, furniture and architectural details. True craftsmanship everywhere you looked.

Beyond the castle, there are views across Lake Bracciano, a volcanic lake formed in an ancient caldera. History, architecture, beauty and landscape all in one place. 🏰

A long way down, but definitely worth every step. 🇮🇹🍋

Hiking down the Amalfi Coast came with spectacular views, ancient ruins to explore along the way, and eventually the little shops below.

And the reward was famous Amalfi lemon gelato!

After taking in so much of Italy, a little time by the water was definitely needed. 🌊🇮🇹

Driving the Amalfi Coast, spending the day at the beach and getting out on the water was the perfect way to slow things down and let all that inspiration sink in.

Sometimes the best ideas come when you’re not looking for them.✨

Next stop…Napoli! 🇮🇹

The day started with a walk along the waterfront, catching views of Mount Vesuvius from every angle, followed by a funicular ride up into the hills to explore.

So much art, architecture and character everywhere!! On the walk back down, the endless lights throughout the city were especially beautiful. Inspiration around every corner.

Come bike the Appian Way with me!

Built in 312 BC, it’s one of the oldest and most important roads of the Roman Empire, with sections of its original stones still beneath your feet today.

After wandering through nearly 2,300 years of history, ending the afternoon with an Aperol Spritz felt like the perfect reward 🍊🥂

Design inspiration isn’t always found in a building… sometimes it’s on the plate. 🇮🇹🍝

One of my favourite things about travelling is seeing how creativity shows up in everyday life and in Italy, food might be one of its greatest art forms!✨

Come take the train to Pompeii with me…

There’s a heaviness to walking through a place where so many lives were suddenly lost, but from an artist and designer’s perspective, the layers, textures, colours and details were absolutely mind-blowing.

One of the things that surprised me most was how colourful Pompeii once was. Many of the walls were richly painted with mineral-based pigments, including the famous “Pompeian red” and traces of those colours are still visible 2,000 years later.

A haunting place, but an incredible window into how people once lived, created and designed. ✨

Catching up on some moments I’ve been meaning to share ✨ I’ve spent a lot of time travelling, creating, reflecting, and gathering inspiration along the way.

Over the next little while, I’ll be sharing moments from my travels through Italy, a place I felt deeply connected to as an artist, designer, and entrepreneur. The architecture, history, creativity, and energy really stayed with me.

First stop: the Colosseum. 🇮🇹

I studied Roman architecture in school, but experiencing it in person was something else. What fascinated me most was learning about the spiritual world of the Romans, their beliefs, rituals, symbolism, and how deeply creativity was woven into their everyday lives.

A beautiful reminder that sometimes you have to go out into the world to find inspiration.
