I can't believe we're in the "ber" months already. Summer's basically done.⁠

It feels like one week it's patio season, the next the fireplace is back on and we're reaching for a blanket.⁠

This room from our Burlinton project reminds me why I don't mind the shift. There's something about a lit fireplace and a cozy, layered space that makes the colder months feel more like a reset.⁠

Maybe that's the trade. We lose the long days, but we get a cozier place we actually want to be in.⁠
