I am Venezuelan, I am a professional in the areas of advertising and marketing, I worked in the corporative business at Nestlé from 1,992 until 2,000, when my husband received an international assignment in the same company and we were transferred to Trinidad and Tobago. My two children were born there. We had four years of learning, embracing the Caribbean vibe vibe while discovering ourselves as a family. in 2005, we were transferred to São Paulo, Brazil, where I had a little more time to reassess and reinvent myself. In Sao Paulo, I graduated as a graphic designer and took courses in photography, painting and wood decoupage. It was then, when I developed a greater interest in decor using recycled wood.
After 10 years, we were transferred again, this time to Toronto, Canada, our new destination. It was here that I decided to expand my portfolio, by using a wider range of images in my woodworking. Living in Canada has given me the opportunity to adventure and explore different avenues, where sustainability became my priority: recycling materials to recreated and repurposed objects, supporting a woodcrafter indigenous community in Mexico an also support local businesses in Canada.
I am so fortunate to had the opportunity to expand my view of life through the eyes of the people and cultures that a interacted with in all these places that I have lived, which enriched my work with the joy of many colours, shades, textures and flavours.
My work is journey of discovery, self assurance, awe wrapped on purpose, beauty and sustainable responsibility.
