I wanted to give tree ring printing a try. It is far more work than I originally thought it would be. The process was still fun, and I am happy with the results. I probably should have started with something a little smaller!! This is a 23" diameter Blue Spruce.

When I heard that the old Trochu Motors Building was going to be torn down, it brought back a lot of memories of my many years there. I managed to scavenge some wood from it before the hoe went to work. Not having a plan in mind, I just thought it would be neat to make "something" out of it. Once an idea popped into my head the tools went to work. So this is a sort of tribute to the Trochu landmark that no longer stands.
