It's been quite awhile since I posted here, but I finally got to hang this cabinet in our bathroom yesterday. A lot of influence in this, but one of the first things I've built completely of my own design. I made my own pulls and k***s with a plug cutter, and it was my first attempt at Kumiko. Dovetailed case with mortise and tenon in the interior components. The glue up was stressful. It will give us some storage for towels and washclothes and hopefully help with some of the clutter that certain people leave all over the bathroom counter. In theory, anyways.

Hey everyone, been a minute since I have posted anything, been a busy summer, but I'm getting back in the shop now and should be more active. I wanted to share a link to a dining table and benches that I am selling. I built it for personal use, but it's just a little big for our space. In like new condition and the table will pack flat for storage or moving. Made with gorgeous white ash for the tops and extremely rare Honduran mahogany for the bases. As always, strong joinery and high quality materials are used. Send me a message if you're interested. Thanks for checking it out.

Well, it's finally complete. I have to say that this has been my favorite build so far. For the longest time my hand tools have been scattered throughout my shop, tucked away in drawers or laying on any flat surface. Now they are all at home in my new cabinet.
Made from solid walnut from and some gorgeous figured maple I have been saving. This case features proud joinery that will last longer then my lifetime. Plans are from Fine Woodworking, with a few design changes to suit my needs. Thanks for checking it out. Cheers!

I'm realizing that I'm really terrible at remembering to take pictures along the way. I get lost in the process and miss documenting it. So there's going to be a big jump from these pics to the finished product, which I will post soon. The first pic is putting a small chamfer on the case dovetails (little details) and the 2nd is all the parts ready to go for assembly. The last two pics show how I solved the broken screw buried in the hing mortise. That was a frustrating half hour! Beauty shots of the finished cabinet coming soon.

Some progress on the handtool cabinet- All of my main case pieces are milled flat and square and cut to length. Now the fun begins!
This is my process for cutting the tails of dovetails that hold the case together. A custom ground table saw blade turned to 7 degrees gives me an angled cut that is flat on top. After making the initial cut on my marks, I flip the board around and line up the kerf. The result is a perfect V. With very little waste and a sharp baseline, I employ some help chisel the waste away. These are the easy part. Next up is the critical layout for cutting the pins. Stay tuned!

Been a mimute since I've posted anything on here, I always forget to take photos along the way. I did just complete a dining table, benches and a desk and will have some shots of those soon.
In the meantime, I have started a build that I have been looking forward to for quite some time- hanging tool cabinet. I'm going fancy with this one, using walnut for the majority of the build. This cabinet will go hand in hand with my roubo bench for years to come.
Started off today with woof selection and milling and ended up with my panels for the main carcass glued up. Follow along with me on this one, I promise to take lots of pictures as the build progresses. Hope you all have a great weekend!
Also, my website is currently down and under construction, so contact me thru Facebook if you have any questions. Cheers!
