Which one looks more appealing to you and why?

I have offered “free” shipping for many years as Etsy pushed it, even told us our items will be higher in search if we offered it. But the reality is that shipping is never ever free. It generally costs 10x the price of material or more. It’s one of the biggest expenses.

Not to mention the times I get the “this was SO expensive!” Ummm no. Shipping isn’t free for YOU and certainly not for ME. When costs are factored in, my profit is minimal.

So here’s my hang up.

You’re actually paying more.

If you purchase one item, sure, but the second you add multiples, the price doubles. You’re essentially paying shipping twice.

I have attempted charging shipping in the past and I believe it led to a lot of abandoned carts.

So, do you like to see the whole upfront cost right off the bat? Does a shipping charge deter you from purchasing?

Every summer, I do “Fun Days” with my son. Just random days where we get junk food, explore, and it’s kind of like a Yes Day. This day was Pitt Lake and I wanted him to document our trip.

I was going to spend the day just doing things I wanted to do, but instead it has turned more into pain management. All the topical, dissolving Tylenol, and 30 minutes in my massage chair. None of it helped. I did get my emotional support Starbucks Everything Roasted Ham for breakfast, though!
Next up, tequila shots? Think that’ll help? I’m desperate.
