What an event! I felt my ancestors DNA awake within me in response to those drums and chants. Rich, colorful, loving! There's something about being greeted with hugs and wide smiles. Being gassed up as being all that and more, that makes you stand a bit taller!
I was steeped in culture, celebrated the incoming president, met up with old but true friends, and had an all round great time!
Culture. Legacy. Community. Thank you!!!

(why not)

I heard something recently that resonated. "We declare intentions, then seek permission from comfort."

Every win requires some form of effort. What are you ready to sacrifice? What fear, limitation, or boundary will you cross?

If there's no valid answer to "why not?", then pls get out of your head, out of your way, off your butt and do! And if you don't get it, heck! Atleast you had fun trying!

The sun rises and sets with no help from me. All I'm required to do is breathe and trust the one who made me, saved me and sent me.

Every year, I'm in awe of God's faithfulness. I see how far He's brought us, and I'm excited for what the future holds! Love you forever and a day!

isn't one day. It's everyday showing up for what you believe in. Giving your time, expertise, resources, and all for a better you, a better me, a better them, a better us. Every word, every gift, I lay it all out. Everytime I give voice; may I give hope, inspiration, life.
