The heart & soul of Nixon Mercantile Co. Is my talented journeyman carpenter husband Garth Nixon. Decades as the owner/operator of Nixon Builders has led to opening a sawmill business with an artisan slant. A retirement gig milling wood and building furniture means Garth is living the dream.

We are a sawmill business with an artisan slant. At Nixon Mercantile Co. You can find craftsman furniture, live edge slabs, project wood, wooden kitchenware, wire wrapped jewelry, handmade cards, candles, eclectic decor, and curated vintage. Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, & the first Saturday of each month from 11 AM to 5 PM. We currently accept cash payment only. We operate out of a thoughtfully renovated 1883 built CPR freight shed located between 172 & 194 Cemetery Road Virden Manitoba.

Plants and crystals ... can't go wrong with that. Some of the vintage pieces we have upcycled are from the early 1900's. Love seeing old become new again. Alfred Meakin & the Johnson Bros. rock.

We are open this Saturday June 6th from 11-5. Adding a bunch of succulents to our inventory this morning, But first the ladies and gentlemen need to get more spiffy. I have planted them in vintage china and glassware but they are getting an extra touch at the store. Happy Saturday.
