We had our 2nd ever event at on Saturday May 9th for MOM Fest.

My setup was smaller but I loved how it looked and I was able to stay nice and warm inside 🙌

I enjoyed meeting all the other vendors and community members that stopped at my booth. I learned a lot from the experience and the connections that I made with people coming all the way from London and many from Cambridge!

I’m very excited for some people to grow dahlias for the first time, or others who are losing their garden space next year and my zinnia seeds will be grown in their garden this year. It’s touching for me to be involved in people’s lives and be able to bring them beauty 💐

While I have no other events this month, we are in the process of finding more market events to attend locally - because I have been loving it!

We had our very first vendor experience this past weekend at the Wonderfully Made Spring Market 🙌

We are so thankful to have been selected as a vendor after submitting an application back in January 2026 for the whole season! (We will be back for the Fall season market with !)

Here are the top 5 questions I was asked by the attendees! 🙋🏻‍♀️

1. Q: Do you have a shop? Are you ever at St.Jacobs market?
A: No I do not have a shop, I operate out of my suburban home in Kitchener. I might do a pop up at St Jacob’s in the future! I will announce pop-up markets on Instagram and on my website!

2. Q: Do you accept debit or credit?
A: Yes I do! I have an online store on Shopify that offers a Point of Sale (POS) system and I can send digital receipts!

3. Q: I don’t have a green thumb, how do I get started?
A: We all start somewhere! I did not have a green thumb either. It takes practise, experimentation, and confidence. Following me on Social Media will give you knowledge and the ability to ask me any questions! I will be making more content to address the specific questions asked 🙌

4. Q: Do you grow everything yourself? Do you have a team?
A: I start 80-90% of my flowers from seed, the rest I source from local wholesale growers or local plant nurseries
I refer to us as a team since my family and friends help me out a lot!

5. Q: When did you start your business?
A: I started growing flowers from seed and tubers since 2023, but started selling last year via Facebook Marketplace. I decided to make my business official in the Winter of 2025 with Sole-Proprietor ownership. I’m learning a lot and appreciate all the support 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

My love of plants and gardening started in 2015, from my previous roots in healthcare, as a Recreation Therapist, and a Youth Recreation Coordinator.

I jumped at every chance at horticulture training, garden center outings, or programs with plants. I've driven around town picking up seedlings from our community to donate to our growing efforts - they are a generous group! Now, I can't imagine life without my beloved garden—it's become part of who I am!

Over the years, I have found many of the people I served craved connection with nature. They shared memories of growing up with their family farming or growing their favourite flowers, they got their hands in the dirt (there are proven health benefits of this!), and they gained knowledge - to empower them in the future 🌳

Who knew I'd someday become a suburban flower farmer? 🌼
I am so grateful to share this passion and knowledge with my community! 🥰

🌎 Earth Day 🌎

✨ Today is a reminder why we do what we do. ✨
👩‍🌾 To maintain soil health,

🐝 To give pollinators a food source (can you spot the bee in this photo?)

✈️ To reduce the amount flowers travel—choosing to grow & buy local flowers over imported ones.

❄️ 🌷 To bring colour back after a long, cold, and white winter!

💐 And to share the magic and beauty that flowers bring to homes and event spaces.

We hope all of you take some time today to reconnect with nature 🌳

When we first had the dream to start a cut flower garden, we searched local plant nurseries and couldn't find the colours or varieties of cut-flowers we envisioned.

To solve this problem, we knew we needed to learn how to grow flowers from seed. We sourced many of our seed varieties in Canada 🇨🇦. Along the way, there was a lot of failure, an overwhelming amount of information, and investment of equipment.

With this is mind, we feel that others in the community may be in the same situation - where they want to grow cut flowers, but may not have the confidence or tools to be successful. Many people have told me they simply do not have the time or capacity to babysit seedlings for months on end.

If this sounds like you, please consider our Seedling Sale that will be live on our website on April 30th at noon. We have a preview available now of our selections on our website (Link in Bio).

Pickup will be Saturday May 23rd at 9:00am-1:00pm at our family home and grow-space.

We spent the weekend preparing for our first vendor market of the season 👩‍🌾

We look forward to meeting many of you in-person and others in the Waterloo Region community 👋
