The shelves of an old country store were filled with just about everything rural folks needed. The colourful packaging acted as the advertising for the product. WW2 Royal Canadian Navy Cap made by
Rogers-Rayman Industries which was a prominent Canadian manufacturer contracted by the government during World War II to produce military garments and specialized headgear.

Operating out of Toronto, they supplied multiple branches of the Canadian military, including the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN).

The distinctive pleated, drawstring inner lining combined with the faded blue “NAVAL” ink stamp confirms that this piece is an authentic WWII Royal Canadian Navy Enlisted Sailor’s Cap, often colloquially referred to as a “Donald Duck” style cap.

The stylized graphic in the center represents the interlocking initials of the company. These were produced primarily between 1940 and 1945.

Enlisted personnel wore this particular dark navy wool hat as part of their standard dress uniform.
