A few days ago, I took my cashmere for a stroll in London.
It handled the trip beautifully.

1. I was smiling outrageously — there was actual sunshine.
(This was, naturally, moments before a film star on Marylebone reminded me who the main character was.)

2. Passed this hotel each morning. Never went inside.
The façade and I, however, had an understanding.

3. Had a perfectly civilised, dangerously pleasant lunch at La Petite Maison.
It felt irresponsible not to.

4. Subtly tried to get adopted by people with better real estate than mine.

5. Spent an excessive — almost professional — amount of time sitting right there.

6. Fell head over heels for Robbie Williams’ exhibition at the Moco.

7. Concluded that London is, in fact, unapologetically majestic.

8. Gave serious thought to moving into that little house forever.
Purely for logistical reasons, of course.

9. Nothing particularly special.
Just a photo I liked — and a neighbourhood I quietly moved into in my head.

In the first photo, I’m wearing the Kumitate oversized Jeane scarf and the Adrian pure cashmere turtleneck — because if one is to loiter around London, one should at least do it properly.

One evening, in a chic restaurant, she wrapped herself in a blanket.

The way she wore it - effortless, natural- first made me want to take a photo.

Then it became an idea: to play with the material and create oversized cashmere capes, like blankets. A quiet expression of Kumitate: balance in shape and length.

I wanted to share this image because I love it - and the person in it.
