Recently a customer has reached out to us: the ARC function on their speaker won’t work, and there’s no sound at all after connecting the TV and speaker via HDMI!
Don’t panic — today we’ll walk you through step-by-step troubleshooting to fix this common issue once and for all👇

It’s the Audio Return Channel built into HDMI ports. One single cable can transmit video and send TV audio back to the speaker at the same time, no extra optical cable needed, easily unlocking cinema-level Dolby Atmos sound.
📝 Correct connection steps:
1. Power off both your TV and speaker completely first, to avoid damaging the ports from hot plugging
2. Use a certified HDMI 2.0 or higher cable, plug one end into the TV’s dedicated HDMI port marked "ARC/eARC", and the other end into the matching ARC port on your speaker
3. After powering on, go to your TV settings, find the "Audio Output" option, switch to "Audio System", and turn on eARC mode and HDMI CEC control at the same time
⚠️ Key tips to avoid mistakes:
Do not use old HDMI cables below version 1.4, or any cable longer than 5 meters — these will easily cause signal handshake failures. Set the signal format of all HDMI ports on your TV to "Enhanced Mode" to ensure high-definition audio transmits normally.

1. First, check if your TV/speaker has an HDMI(ARC) interface. HDMI interface without the "ARC" mark doesn't support ARC function, using such HDMI interface will result in nosound
2. Check if both ends of the cable are firmly plugged in, confirm both the TV and speaker are connected to the dedicated ARC-marked ports, not regular HDMI ports
3.Double-check the TV’s audio output settings, make sure the TV’s built-in speakers are turned off, and digital audio output is set to "Auto" instead of a locked incompatible codec
4.Power off the TV and speaker, unplug the HDMI cable for 10 seconds, then re-plug it and power on again to trigger a new device handshake and pairing
5.If there’s still no sound, replace it with a confirmed working HDMI 2.1 cable to rule out damage to the original cable
