Project Showcase: Lighting Design for Wuhan Jinmao Yueman Qingchuan
Located within the ancient commercial belt of Hanyang, Wuhan, Jinmao Yueman Qingchuan is a courtyard-style real estate exhibition area that carries centuries-old Hanyang culture. This project covers architectural facade, landscape and interior spaces.
Design Concept
Rich yet balanced, lights blend naturally with the environment
We focused on three key dimensions: visual focus, spatial hierarchy and environmental integration. Instead of exaggerated lighting effects, we pursued subtle coordination between light and space, respecting the original design logic and borrowing scenery techniques of the architecture.
Key Design Highlights
Building Facade Lighting
The entrance hall serves as the spatial prelude. We deployed six types of lighting languages with diverse layers and scales, including linear accent lights, ambient backlights, uniform downlights and dome lights. Strict photometric calculation and concealed installation ensure lights complement the facade without destroying the architectural aesthetics.
Courtyard & Landscape Lighting
For the multi-level courtyard with water scenes, walkways and sunken platforms, we applied soft background lights and delicate accent lights. The star-shaped scattered lights above the water resemble a galaxy on earth, adding vivid rhythm and romantic vibes to the whole courtyard. All lighting follows the rule of "moderation", realizing seamless integration between lights and natural landscapes.
Interior Lighting
Indoor lighting is designed to highlight brand value and space details. Combined with anti-glare accessories, the lighting system maintains the integrity of ceiling structures, creating elegant, warm and hierarchical atmospheres for lobbies, art staircases, experience halls, negotiation rooms and leisure spaces.
Final Thought
Excellent lighting makes spaces perceptible beyond visibility. Throughout the project, we used layered lighting scales to balance functionality, aesthetics and humanistic care. It is our honor to cooperate with Wuhan Jinmao and all professional teams to deliver this high-quality light environment.
Looking forward to exchanging ideas with more peers in the lighting and architecture industry.
