WOOL | Michal Hošek

At first glance, it feels like a soft ball of yarn. In reality, it is precisely shaped glass, capturing the delicate structure of fibre with remarkable detail.

Designed by Michal Hošek, WOOL explores the contrast between material and perception, combining the fragility of glass with the visual softness of textile. A delicate network of glass lines diffuses the light, creating a calm, dreamlike atmosphere inspired by feminine softness.

Its modular principle allows individual pieces to form ever-changing light compositions, while the pure spherical shape brings balance and timeless elegance into space.

WOOL is a dialogue between craftsmanship, light, and the illusion of material.

Bazaar Bizaar | Jakub Berdych Karpelis

Some chandeliers illuminate a room. Bazaar Bizaar transforms it into a story.
Designed by Jakub Berdych Karpelis for Artglass in 2025, Bazaar Bizaar blurs the line between lighting, sculpture, and architectural installation. Lighting components come together in an intentionally unexpected composition — a poetic collision of form, chaos, and craftsmanship.

Whether suspended as a striking chandelier or reimagined as a modular lighting installation, every angle reveals a different dialogue between tradition and contemporary art. A celebration of Bohemian chandelier making with a playful character and a bold artistic expression.

Alchemy | Jakub Berdych Karpelis

Alchemy is a design luminaire inspired by the mystique of the alchemical laboratories of Rudolf II, where light and matter were believed to transform into something precious. Its form recalls a glass flask or vial with liquid captured in motion – like a substance in a test tube just before transformation. Here, transparent glass replaces the liquid: it flows, bends the beam of light and turns it into a soft, layered glow with shifting depth. Thanks to its form, Alchemy works not only as a striking standalone piece but also as an ideal element for larger compositions, where it can create impressive light installations reminiscent of a constellation of alchemical vessels filled with light. Each piece is a handmade original; subtle variations in the glass give rise to a unique optical character of light every time. The glass body also acts as a lens, shaping the beam and symbolically linking the worlds of alchemy and astronomy – two historical disciplines united by their fascination with light and its mysteries.
