Spring, softly unfolding 🌿

Our Kenkawai Lily of the Valley incense carries a clean, floral note that feels both fresh and quietly elegant. Subtle, never overpowering—just a gentle clarity that fills the room and lingers.

Inspired by the traditional craft of Koh-shi artisans from Awaji, Japan, each piece invites a small moment of reset—cleansing both space and spirit in a simple, timeless way.

Wrapped in delicate washi paper and placed in a wooden box, each set contains around 50 incense pieces. Thoughtfully made in Japan.

A scent for slow mornings, open windows, and the return of light.

Spring is returning 🌿

Delicate leaves begin to appear again — light, fresh, full of quiet energy. Inspired by this moment, our incense comes in the form of fine washi paper leaves.

Thin, elegant, and softly fragrant, they mirror the feeling of early spring: subtle, airy, and grounding at the same time.

Place them, burn them, or simply let their scent unfold — like the season itself.

A small ritual for when everything starts to grow again.

Meet the new Yokozuna Knot at Kenkawai.

Inspired by the highest rank in sumo, it stands for strength, dignity, and quiet resilience. Once tied, this knot is not meant to be undone—making it a powerful symbol of lasting connection and unity.

Two ropes in perfect balance represent the bonds we choose to hold onto: between partners, family, or close friends. Strong, grounded, and intentional.

A piece rooted in Japanese tradition, reinterpreted for modern spaces—made to carry meaning beyond form.

Crafted on the island of Awaji Island, high-quality Japanese incense is more than a fragrance — it’s an atmosphere.

It can feel refreshing and clear, calming and grounding, or gently purifying. A single stick transforms a room into a welcoming, mindful space — setting the tone for slow mornings, creative afternoons, or a fresh start into spring.

With our four signature notes, you can create your own ritual:
– Hinoki 🌿 light, woody, uplifting
– Sandalwood 🤎 warm, deep, meditative
– Takenoko 🎋 soft, green, quietly elegant
– Spring (Mayflower) 🌸 fresh, floral, renewing

Set the mood. Breathe in. Welcome the season.

The origin of the Daruma doll goes back over 1,500 years to Bodhidharma, the Buddhist monk credited with bringing Zen Buddhism from India to China and later influencing Japan. 🌾

Legend says he meditated facing a wall for nine years in unwavering discipline. Over time, his arms and legs are said to have withered away — which is why Daruma dolls are round and limbless today. Their wide, intense eyes symbolize focus, resilience, and the determination to achieve your goals.

Our Cotton Linen Waffle Towel is the kind of everyday luxury you reach for without thinking — because it just feels right.
The airy waffle weave creates texture and depth, while the cotton-linen blend makes it super absorbent, breathable, and beautifully quick-drying.

Woven in Imabari, Japan — a region known for over 120 years of towel craftsmanship and strict water-absorption standards — this piece carries that uncompromising quality you can feel from the first touch.

Cosy. Timeless. Made to last.
