I’ve been working on my traditional blouse "ia" for two years.
Not every day. Not fast. Not perfectly.
But I never gave up on it.
I already have two finished shoulder pieces, and for the past week… I’ve been unpicking and stitching again.
At first, I chose an ochre-orange thread, but it just didn’t feel right. It wouldn’t sit the way I wanted.
So I changed it. I chose a soft wool-cashmere thread — gentler, calmer… closer to what I feel.
And once I changed the thread, my whole vision shifted.
I now see the pattern differently. I understand it differently.
And I can already picture the final blouse.
I’m moving forward in small steps.
Because life is full — a job, three kids, a household, a business…
But I made a promise to myself: one hour a day, just for me.
For quiet.
For patience.
For the joy of creating with my own hands.
It doesn’t matter how long it takes.
What matters is not giving up.
And I know this for sure: I will wear it.
