WILLOW BRUSH WORKSHOP

On the occasion of the pop-up shop organized by Les Saisons and generously hosted by our neighbors Lille Bakery, you’re invited to learn how to make a small willow brush.

At the end of winter, gardeners came to trim the branches of a majestic 150 year old weeping willow tree just outside my workshop. A few branches were collected in order to make mini brooms.

You’ll be introduced to brush making techniques and materials around a cup of coffee/tea and will go home with your own brush.

If the weather allows it, we will be able to settle outside. Take warm clothes with you.

January 7 & 8: tickets in bio.

On the occasion of the annual King's cake celebration, Clémence Wambergue, chef behind Ne Pleure Plus private dinners, and Anne Texier, designer and brush maker, are teaming up for a workshop "From kitchen tool to food: the making of a Galette des rois". During this workshop hosted by kitchen company Reform in Copenhagen and Lyngby, you will learn how to make your own pastry brush to use in the final stages of making the cake. Finally, you will discover the tradition of the « Galette des rois" from the north of France, a round sun-shaped cake in which a ceramic bean is hidden. Whoever finds it becomes the king/queen and receives a crown!
