Young Danish craftsman Holger Nielsen makes the first Vipp bin for his wife’s hairdressing salon. The bin becomes an immediate success among doctors and dentists and is soon a permanent feature in Danish clinics. This marks the beginning of an ongoing passion for functionality and design in the Vipp family. From the small Danish town of Randers to the finest museums and interior design shops in the world, Holger Nielsen’s passion has come a long way.

Vipp unveils Vipp Pavilion, Upstate New York - our first guesthouse in the United States

Located on the edge of a pond in the dense forest of Lumberland, approximately two hours northwest of Manhattan by car, Vipp Pavilion is a tranquil getaway for guests to engage with this bucolic landscape in a remarkable architectural setting.

Designed by renowned architectural firm Johnston Marklee, the structure is built with a combination of smooth and ribbed stucco while its geometric forms are based on two tangent ellipses that echo the contours of the adjacent pond.

"After countless weekends in the Catskills, it felt natural to bring the Vipp guesthouse experience here,” says Sofie Christenten Egelund, third-generation Vipp owner. “To realize our first ground-up U.S. project with Sharon and Mark has been an incredible honor.”

Vipp transforms an Austrian Alpine house from 1836 into its 14th guesthouse destination

A traditional Montafonerhaus from 1836, passed down through generations, has entered a new chapter as Vipp Montafon Haus. Located in the village of Vandans in Austria’s mountainous Vorarlberg region, the three-storey house reflects centuries-old building traditions shaped by life in the valley.

Having returned to the Alps for family skiing over the years, Kasper Egelund, CEO and third-generation owner of Vipp, had long been drawn to the region. “When we discovered this house, we immediately saw its potential. Its rich history and setting in the Austrian Alps made it a natural next chapter in our evolving guesthouse story, allowing us to create a destination that reflects its environment while offering a fresh perspective on Alpine living.”

Vipp Residences first vacation home, the Kythnos Cliff House, sits 30 meters above the Aegean on a secluded Greek cliff. Designed by Sigurd Larsen and built in local stone, it blends seamlessly into the landscape. Inside, Scandinavian minimalism meets warm, sunlit spaces shaped by natural materials.

Today we are launching the V4 kitchen, our first all-stainless-steel kitchen.

With more than eight decades of experience in metal craftsmanship, Vipp introduces the V4 - a kitchen distilled to its essence. Built entirely in brushed stainless steel, this new kitchen merges refined industrial aesthetics with everyday performance.

In the V4 kitchen, chef Julia Khan-Anselmo owner of Feisty Feast finds her rhythm instantly. She notices the details: “The one-piece stainless-steel worktop with integrated sink is such a clever feature. And I love that the drawers are so quiet,” she smiles, pulling out utensils. “It makes everything so practical and keeps the noise level in the kitchen down.”
