🥩 + 🥦 Protein and fibre work better together!
Meat provides protein, iron and vitamin B12, but it contains no fibre. Support your gut by building a balanced plate:
🥗 ½ plate vegetables
🐟 ¼ plate protein
🍠 ¼ plate high-fibre carbohydrates
Choose fish, chicken, eggs, beans and lentils more often. Limit red meat to around three moderate portions per week, and keep processed meats such as bacon, ham, sausages and hot dogs to a minimum.
Remember to increase fibre gradually and drink enough water. Fibre supports digestion, healthy bowel movements and beneficial gut bacteria, but it cannot completely cancel the risks of eating too much red or processed meat.
Small, consistent food choices can help protect your gut over the long term.
