We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Dame Jane Goodall 💚 (1934-2025)
Renowned for her pioneering work as a primatologist and conservationist, Dame Jane Goodall transformed our understanding of our closest relatives in the animal kingdom.
Born in London in 1934, Goodall began her animal research in Kenya during the 1950s, a period when few women were active in the field. In 1967, she became Scientific Director of the Gombe Wildlife Research Institute in Tanzania. She later founded the Jane Goodall Institute in 1977 and launched the Roots & Shoots youth programme in 1991.
Thank you Dame Jane Goodall for your tireless work - it empowered millions to believe that every individual can make a difference, and inspired generations to act, care, and hope.
