The joy + frustration of experimenting…
I definitely feel there are a few different art styles to my practice. I love weird & quirky painting but I also love the flow & movement of abstraction. No plan just paint and mark and remove and add, it feels so emotional at times.
I’m loving what I have been painting lately, this isn’t a brag as I have been deep in the ebbs + flows of a creative block the last few months. So I’m celebrating 🥳
Breaking through has almost given me the paint zoomies. 😜
These paintings pictured will be apart of my collection I am painting for the Affordable Art Fair Australia in Sydney this November. I will be exhibiting with my art fam 𝐻𝑂𝑈𝑆𝐸 𝑂𝐹 𝑆𝑂𝐿𝐴𝑅𝐴 ☀︎︎

Close up of the details, these artworks will be embroidered & stitched with coloured thread too.
Played around with the green tones , I love the shade I ended up with. I also added gold foil leaf, I think it needs a little more. 🤔
More embroidered details to come. This is actually a very therapeutic step in my process, because I can sit down finally. 🤣 I normally stand when I paint.
